Profesor dari UK dan Australia Bicara di 3rd ELTLT 2014

Sebagai agenda tahunan dan dalam rangka kegiatan Bulan Bahasa Fakultas Bahasa dan Seni (FBS), Jurusan Bahasa dan Satsra Inggris mengadakan kegiatan seminar internasional ke-3 dengan tema “The Global Trends in English Language Teaching, Literature, and Translation” pada, Sabtu-Minggu (27/18/9) di Hotel Grasia Semarang,

Ada dua keynote speaker dalam seminar tersebut yakni Prof. Richard Kiely dari University of Southampton (UK) dan Associate Professor Pam Allen dari University of Tasmania (Asutralia).

Richard mempresentasikan papernya dengan judul “From practice to theory in ELT: the teacher as curriculum developer.” Adapun Pam Allen menyajikan gagasan berjudul ‘Who took the Language out of Intercultural Language Learning?’

Dalam kegiatan seminar internasional tersebut, ada dua agenda utama yakni plenary session dan parallel session. Seminar ini dihadiri oleh 110 presenter dan 50 participan yang berasal dari berbagai perguruan tinggi di Indonesia maupun dari luar negeri.

Menurut penanggung jawab kegiatan Dr. Issy Yuliasri, M.Pd dan Ketua ELTLT 2014 Bambang Purwanto, S.S., M.Hum, selain sebagai agenda tahunan akademis bidang pendidikan, sastra, penerjemahan dan linguistik, kegiatan ini juga sebagai forum untuk menjalin kerja sama (link) antar pakar dan akademisi sebagai dukungan cita-cita Unnes menjadi salah satu kampus internasional (World Class University).

    Selamat kepada Jurusan Bahasa dan Sastra Inggris, FBS Unnes yang dengan sukses menyelenggarakan seminar internasional ke-3 kalinya dengan mengundang pakar dari LN. Kibarkan terus semangat akademik berwawasan internasional sehingga para pakar Unnes bisa berkiprah pada tataran bertaraf internasional.
