TETAP KREATIF DI TENGAH PANDEMIK: Upaya Perpustakaan Universitas Negeri Semarang untuk Mendunia

Dimasa pandemic Corona Virus (Covid-19) yang masih melanda masyarakat dan sekarang memasuki Tatanan Kehidupan Baru atau New Normal, Perpustakaan Universitas Negeri Semarang terus berupaya kreatif mengembangkan kiprahnya. Upaya tersebut antara lain dengan terlibat dalam Sharing Session Pelayanan Perpustakaan ditengah Pandemik COvid-19 yang melibatkan Perpustakaan Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNeS), Intsitut Teknologi Bandung (ITB), dan Universiti Teknologi MARA (UITM) Malaysia.

Acara yang berlangsung pada Jum’at tanggal 26 Juni 2020 terselenggara berkat Kerjasama Perpustakaan UNNES, ITB, dan UITM Malaysia yang diselenggarakan secara daring dan disaksikan oleh ribuan viewer melalui media social facebook dan youtube dari kalangan pustakawan maupun pemerhati perpustakaan dari berbagai daerah, baik yang berasal Indonesia juga Malaysia.

Kegiatan tersebut menghadirkan tiga orang narasumber dari tiga universitas, yaitu Kepala Perpustakaan “Rumah Ilmu” UNNES, MZ Eko Handoyo SS, Kepala Perpustakaan ITB Dr Eng Yuli Setyo Indartono, dan Ts Hj Azizi Jantan selaku Ketua Jabatan Perpustakaan Digital UITM Shah Alam Malaysia.

Pada kesempatan tersebut kepala Perpustakaan UNNES menyampaikan bahwa pandemic covid-19 memang berdampak pada berbagai sektor, termasuk dunia pendidikan, tak terkecuali Pendidikan tinggi. Bagi pendidikan tinggi dalam hal ini universitas, perpustakaan adalah fasilitas yang sangat penting, bahkan perpustakaan diibaratkan sebagai jantungnya perguruan tinggi dalam mencapai tujuan Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi, yang meliputi Pendidikan, Penelitian, dan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarkat. Oleh karena itu di tengah-tengah masa pandemi Covid-19 yang saat ini sedang menuju Tatanan Hidup Baru (New Normal), layanan perpustakaan harus tetap buka. Dalam hal ini meskipun para pustakawan/staf perpustakaan bekerja dari rumah (work from home) namun perpustakaan UNNES tetap membuka layanan secara online melalui website maupun media sosial perpustakaan.

Dalam acara Live@PTAR: A sharing session on Library Services during covid-19 outbreak ini, Kepala Perpustakaan UNNES menuturkan bahwa adanya kebijakan pemerintah berupa Work from Home dan Work from Office memang membuat perpustakaan sepi pengunjung, aktivitas secara fisik di perpustakaan nyaris tidak ada. Namun hal tersebut tidak menjadi halangan perpustakaan untuk tetap aktif dan kreatif dan mencari peluang ditengah krisis. Hal ini diwujudkan dalam acara sharing session yang melibatkan tiga perpustakaan tersebut.

Kedapan kepala perpustakaan UNNES manyampaikan bahwa Kerjasama ini akan terus ditingkatkan lagi. Sebagai langkah berikutnya, setelah sharing session antar kepala perpustakaan ini, pada bulan akhir Agustus nanti akan dilanjutkan hal serupa yang melibatkan pustakawan dari ketiga pihak, dan akan ditindaklanjuti dengan rintisan Kerjasama antar perpustakaan dalam kegiatan-kegiatan perpustakaan ketiga pihak secara Bersama, antaa lain dalam penyelenggaraan literasi informasi dan pengabdian masyarakat dibidang perpustakaan. Semoga langkah dapat menjadikan perpustakaan UNNES semakin mendunia, pungkasnya.
