Teliti Sastra Komunitas, Dosen Unnes Raih Doktor Ilmu Pendidikan Bahasa

Meina Febriani meraih gelar doktor Ilmu Pendidikan Bahasa di Fakultas Bahasa dan Seni (FBS), Universitas Negeri Semarang (Unnes), Jumat (20/6/2025). Dalam sidang promosi itu, Meina memaparkan disertasi berjudul “Paradigma Pendidikan Sastra Berbasis Komunitas di Banyumas”.

Dalam disertasi, dosen Pendidikan Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia FBS Unnes itu mengungkapkan bahwa pendidikan sastra berbasis komunitas di Banyumas berlangsung aktif melalui berbagai kegiatan apresiasi dan ekspresi sastra.

“Komunitas Sastra Pinggiran Banyumas, Komunitas Sastra Wadas Kelir, dan Komunitas Sastra Pondok Pena Pesma An Najah masing-masing memiliki karakteristik unik dalam pembelajaran sastra. Metode yang diterapkan bersifat partisipatif, dialogis, dan berbasis pengalaman langsung, memungkinkan anggota komunitas untuk mengembangkan pemahaman dan keterampilan sastra melalui diskusi, lokakarya, pembacaan karya, serta publikasi dan pementasan sastra,” kata Meina.

Dekan FBS, Prof Dr. Tommi Yuniawan, M.Hum., memimpin sidang promosi doktor untuk Meina tersebut. Adapun Prof. Dr. Agus Nuryatin, M.Hum. bertindak sebagai koordinator promotor dengan anggota promotor Prof. Dr. RM. Teguh Supriyanto, M.Hum. dan  Prof. Dr. Hari Bakti Mardikantoro, M.Hum. Tim penguji internal terdiri atas Prof. Dr. Yusro Edy Nugroho, M.Hum. dan Widhiyanto, M.Pd., Ph.D.

Sementara itu, pakar sastra dari Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY), Prof. Dr. Suminto A. Sayuti, bertindak sebagai penguji eksternal. Penyair Banyumas, Wanto Tirta, juga hadir dalam sidang promosi doktor Meina tersebut. Setelah sidang terbuka, Meina resmi bergelar doktor dalam bidang Ilmu Pendidikan Bahasa dengan predikat cum laude.

Dalam disertasinya, Meina juga menyebutkan empat asumsi yang menjadi dasar pendidikan sastra berbasis komunitas di Banyumas. Pertama, pendidikan yang bersifat bottom-up, memberdayakan komunitas untuk menentukan tujuan dan strategi aktivitas pendidikan sastra.

Kedua, keberlanjutan inisiatif pendidikan yang mendukung pendidikan sepanjang hayat dengan keterlibatan aktif komunitas. Ketiga, penghargaan terhadap pengetahuan lokal yang memperkuat identitas budaya dan mewariskan tradisi ke generasi berikutnya.

“Dan, keempat, pendidikan kolaboratif yang melibatkan berbagai pihak untuk menciptakan rasa memiliki dan tanggung jawab terhadap hasil pendidikan,” ungkapnya.

Penelitian ini berkontribusi pada pencapaian Tujuan Pembangunan Berkelanjutan (SDGs) nomor 4: Pendidikan Berkualitas dan SDGs nomor 11:

Kota dan Pemukiman yang Berkelanjutan. Melalui pendekatan pendidikan sastra berbasis komunitas, disertasi ini menekankan pentingnya pembelajaran partisipatif, kolaboratif, dan kontekstual yang menjangkau masyarakat akar rumput.

Pendidikan seperti ini mendorong pembentukan ruang-ruang literasi yang inklusif dan berkelanjutan, memperkuat identitas lokal, serta menjembatani kesenjangan akses terhadap pendidikan bermakna di luar sistem formal. Pendekatan ini juga sejalan dengan semangat pemberdayaan komunitas dalam pembangunan kota dan desa berbasis budaya.
