Tak Ada Sinyal, Mahasiswa UNNES Program Kampus Mengajar Gunakan Satelit LAPAN Dukung Pembelajaran

Kampus Mengajar merupakan bagian dari Program Kampus Merdeka Kemendikbudristek. Program ini berfokus pada upaya peningkatan literasi dan numerasi anak-anak sekolah di Indonesia guna memberikan pengalaman pembelajaran terbaik dan meminimalisasi kesulitan belajar sekolah terdampak pandemi Covid-19. Kampus Mengajar melibatkan mahasiswa terpilih dari berbagai perguruan tinggi di Indonesia.

Ialah Havid Adhitama, mahasiswa Jurusan Pendidikan Guru Sekolah Dasar (PGSD) Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES) yang mengikuti Program Kampus Mengajar di SD Negeri 4 Kalisat Kidul, Kabupaten Banjarnegara, Jawa Tengah.

Havid tidaklah sendiri, ia bersama tiga rekan lainnya yakni Ismi Nur Afifah (UNNES), Faris Izzudin (Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia), dan Dwi Dyah A (Universitas Ahmad Dahlan) menjalankan pengabdian ini selama 95 hari.

Havid bercerita, tempatnya mengajar tidaklah terjangkau oleh sinyal. Hal ini menyebabkan internet tidak dapat diakses dan mengharuskan ia dan teman-temannya untuk berkomunikasi menggunakan handy talky atau HT di sekolah.

Melihat mirisnya situasi tersebut, Havid dan tim berinisiatif untuk bekerjasama dengan Lembaga Penerbangan dan Antariksa Nasional (LAPAN) dan The Radio Amateur Satellite Corporation atau AMSAT-ID.

Alhamdulillah dengan alat seadanya, kami bisa menerima gambar yang dikirim dari Jakarta dengan sempurna melalui satelit LAPAN-A2 mode SSTV tersebut,” jelas Havid.

Havid menambahkan, alat yang ia gunakan untuk mengirimkan materi pembelajaran harus melalui sejumlah tahapan sebelum akhirnya dapat diterima.

“Jadi SSTV yang kami gunakan dengan cara mengubah gambar jadi suara. Kemudian suara tersebut dipancarkan ulang melalui satelit, dan diterima di tempat kami. Suara tersebut lalu kami decode, dan muncul gambar yang dikirim. Alhamdulillah, guru-guru dan kepala sekolah di sini sangat antusias dengan uji coba ini,” jelas Havid.

Rektor UNNES Prof Dr Fathur Rokhman MHum mengapresiasi dedikasi dan inisiatif Havid dan tim yang telah berhasil memanfaatkan kemajuan teknologi guna mendukung pembelajaran di daerah 3T.

“Saya mendapat informasi dari Kemendikbudristek, salah seorang mahasiswa UNNES yang mengikuti Program Kampus Mengajar telah memberikan inovasi yang luar biasa. Inovasinya itu dilakukan di daerah 3T. Bahkan, ketika saya dan Mas Menteri mengikuti paparan dari Presiden Joko Widodo, dalam power pointnya itu ada mahasiswa UNNES yaitu Mas Havid Adhitama,” jelas Rektor.
