Unnes Sosialisasi kepada Keluarga Sekitar Kampus

Universitas Negeri Semarang (Unnes) menyelenggarakan sosialisasi program Bantuan Pendidikan Miskin Berprestasi (Bidikmisi) Kementerian Pendidikan Nasional kepada keluarga sekitar kampus.

“Kepercayaan masyarakat terhadap Unnes sekarang sangat tinggi. Ini dibuktikan dengan kian meningkatnya peminat Unnes dalam Seleksi Nasional Masuk Perguruan Tinggi Negeri (SNMPTN) 2013 berjumlah 99.670 pendaftar, “ kata Rektor Prof Sudijono Sastroatmodjo.

Rektor juga mengemukakan saat ini calon mahasiswa baru yang sudah mendaftar lewat Bidikmisi hampir mencapai 12 ribu. Sementara kuota Bidikmisi yang disalurkan Unnes tahun 2013 untuk 1.750 orang. Sosialisasi dipandu Pembantu Rektor Bidang Akademik (PR I) Dr Agus Wahyudin dan didampingi PR III Prof Masrukhi itu, Rabu (20/3) di rektorat kampus Sekaran.

Rektor juga mengemukakan Bidikmisi merupakan beasiswa penuh bagi mahasiswa yang berprestasi namun kurang mampu secara ekonomi selama delapan semester.

Dengan kemajuan informasi teknologi yang dimiliki Unnes ini, mengakses segala informasi tentang Unnes sangat mudah. Misalnya informasi Bidikmisi yang jumlah penerimanya tiap tahun selalu meningkat. Yakni tahun 2010 Unnes dipercaya menyalurkan sebanyak 450, 2011 (1.450), dan 2012 (1.750). Pada tahun 2011 dan 2012 Unnes menempati peringkat pertama universitas penerima bidikmisi terbanyak, kata Rektor.

Tingginya kepercayaan pemerintah kepada Unnes untuk menyalurkan Bidikmisi, karena Unnes terus mengajukan penambahan kuota dan penyalurannya yang akuntabel.

“Kami menerjunkan tim survei ke tiap rumah calon penerima Bidikmisi untuk mengecek sejauh mana kekurangmampuan yang dialami pemohon, mulai dari kondisi rumah sampai penghasilan dan kebutuhan orang tua,” kata Sudijono.
