Softskill Modal Utama Bekerja

Pekerjaan tidak semata-mata didapat setelah mendapatkan ijazah. Namun, lebih dari itu, keterampilan dan softskill harus selalu diasah untuk menjadi bekal anak bekerja nantinya.

Rektor Universitas Negeri Semarang (Unnes) Prof Dr Sudijono Sastroatmodjo MSi mengemukakan hal itu ketika membuka acara Diskusi Terfokus “Mewujudkan Jawa Tengah sebagai Provinsi Vokasi melalui Program Pengembangan di Bidang Pendidikan Vokasi”, Selasa (20/3), di C7 Fakultas Ilmu Sosial (FIS) Unnes.

Dalam diskusi itu juga dilakukan penandatanganan MoU antara Unnes dengan SEAMOLEC perihal pelaksanaan Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi, yang meliputi penerapan dan pengembangan pendidikan, penelitian, pengabdian, dan peningkatan kualitas sumber daya manusia.

Menurut Prof Sudijono, ijazah tidak semestinya diperjualbelikan. “Kalaupun ada siswa yang memang belum mampu untuk menyelesaikan pendidikan, jangan dipaksakan, siswa itu membutuhkan perhatian yang lebih,” tandas Rektor dihadapan puluhan tamu undangan diskusi.

Berkait dengan Jawa Tengah yang telah mendeklarasikan diri menjadi provinsi vokasi tahun 2008 oleh Gubernur, Prof Sudijono mengapresiasi dan mendukung penuh akan hal itu. “Mari kita wujudkan bersama Jawa Tengah sebagai provinsi vokasi utamanya melalui jalur pendidikan,” tuturnya.

Direktur SEAMOLEC Dr Ir Gatot Hari Priowirjanto dalam paparan programnya menyatakan, pihaknya terus bekerja sama dengan berbagai pihak untuk mewujudkan Akademi Komunitas (AK). “Dengan berbagai potensi yang dimiliki Jawa Tengah, pembentukan AK semakin dapat terwujud. Banyaknya SMK dan SMA RSBI juga kian mendukung karena dari sisi peralatan dan sarana sudah memadai,” katanya.

Pembantu Rektor Bidang Pengembangan dan Kerja Sama Unnes Prof Dr Fathur Rokhman MHum mengemukakan, harus disadari, sekolah bukanlah pabrik. Siswa sekolah kejuruan tetaplah siswa yang dipersiapkan sebagai tenaga terampil, sedangkan kepala sekolah tetaplah manajer institusi pendidikan yang terbuka kemungkinannya menjadi manajer plus untuk menjalin kemitraan dengan siapa pun.

Prof Fathur menambahkan, sudah semestinya kita mengapresiasi tiap karya siswa sekolah kejuruan yang telah tercipta. “Terlebih untuk membangun konteks kecintaan kita terhadap produk dalam negeri,” ujar Prof Fathur.
