Softskill dan Hardskill Harus Imbang

Mahasiswa harus sadar sepenuhnya, antara kegiatan dengan akademik haruslah sinergis.  Hardskill berkenaan dengan keilmuan dan softskill kemahasiswaan yakni instrumen atau atribut yang bisa memaksimalkan potensi-potensi, yakni bagaimana memimpin, bagaimana dipimpin, dan bagaimana bekerja sama. Selain itu mempunyai keuletan, mempunyai tanggung jawab, dan kejujuran.

“Ketika softskill dan hardskill menyatu bisa melahirkan insan-insan yang cerdas dan kompetitif. Ini merupakan visi Kemendikbud,” ujar Pembantu Rektor Bidang Kemahasiswaan (PR III) Prof Masrukhi saat safari Bidang Kemahasiswaan yang dipusatkan di gedung pertemuan serba guna FIK kampus Sekaran, Jumat (24/2).

Prof Masrukhi mengatakan, berbagai hal yang dihadapi Bidang kemahasiswaan Universitas Negeri Semarang (Unnes) lebih kompleks daripada Bidang Akademik. “Asalkan aturan di Bidang Akademik tegas dan disosialisasikan merata, maka selesailah,” katanya pada kegiatan yang dihadiri puluhan pejabat dari fakultas di lingkungan Unnes itu.

Hadir dalam kesempatan itu Dekan, Pembantu Dekan, Ketua Jurusan, Sekretaris Jurusan, Ketua Laboratorium, Ketua Program Studi, Pendamping Badan Eksekutif, Kepala Bagian Tata Usaha, dan Kepala Subbagian. Selain safari di FIK dan FT, PR III juga safari di FIP, FIS FMIPA, FE, dan FH. Dalam waktu dekat juga akan safari di Fakultas Bahasa dan Seni.

Dari moral hingga prestasi

“Di bidang kemahasiswaan kita menangani persoalan-persoalan yang terkait dengan pelanggaran aturan, pelanggaran moral, sampai kepada bagaimana kita ini membawa anak-anak bisa berprestasi,” kata PR III.

Prof Masrukhi mencontohkan, misalnya ada mahasiswa yang berurusan dengan kepolisian yang diminta pertanggungjawaban pertama kali pastilah bagian kemahasiswaan. “Maka dari itu, mari anak-anak kita ini dekati secara komprehensif,” paparnya.

Masrukhi mengatakan, menurut penelitian Daniel Goleman, seorang psikolog dari Amerika, ternyata softskill memberi kontribusi besar terhadap pekembangan manusia, yakni 80% dalam mengantarkan seseorang mencapai kesuksesan.

Maka, dia mengatakan, di Bidang Kemahasiswaan ruang lingkup pembinaannya meliputi olah Pikir (intellectual development) yang bermuara pada pengelolaan intelektual (cerdas, kritis, kreatif, inovatif, ingin tahu, berpikirterbuka, produktif, berorientasi Ipteks, dan reflektif).

Selain itu juga olah hati (Spiritual and emotional development) bermuara pada pengelolaan spiritual dan emosional (beriman dan bertakwa, jujur, amanah, adil, bertanggung jawab, berempati, berani mengambil resiko, pantang menyerah, rela berkorban, dan berjiwa patriotik).

Hal ketiga adalah olah rasa dan karsa (Affective and Creativity development)  bermuara pada pengelolaan kreativitas (ramah, saling menghargai, toleran, peduli, suka menolong, gotong royong, nasionalis, kosmopolit , mengutamakan kepentingan umum, bangga menggunakan bahasa dan produk Indonesia, dinamis, kerja keras, dan beretos kerja).

Hal terakhir, menurut Masrukhi adalah olah raga  (Physical) yang bermuara pada pengelolaan fisik (bersih dan sehat, disiplin, sportif, tangguh, andal, berdaya tahan, bersahabat, kooperatif, determinatif, kompetitif, ceria, dan gigih).
