Simfoni yang Indah di Wisuda Unnes

“Alun sebuah simfony, kata hati disadari, merasuk sukma kalbuku, dalam hati ada satu, manis lembut bisikanmu, merdu lirih suaramu, bagai pelita hidupku.”

Demikian penggalan lagu Simfoni yang Indah mengalun pada hari pertama Wisuda Periode II Tahun 2011 Unnes, Senin (17/10), di auditorium kampus Sekaran. Lagu yang dibawakan oleh Orkestra Unnes itu mendapat sambutan meriah dari peserta wisuda, tepuk tangan pun riuh menggema.

Seperti pada wisuda periode pertama, wisuda kali ini juga dilaksanakan dalam waktu dua hari. Hari ini yang diwisuda sebanyak 1.465 orang, yaitu dari Fakultas Pendidikan Matematika dan Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam 378 wisudawan, Fakultas Teknik (129), Fakultas Ilmu Keolahragaan (501), Fakultas Ekonomi (388), dan Fakultas Hukum 67 wisudawan. Acara dilanjutkan besok paginya untuk fakultas yang belum melaksanakan wisuda.

Rektor Unnes Prof Sudijono Sastroatmodjo mengatakan, sebagaimana lazimnya, wisuda periode kedua Unnes dilaksanakan pada bulan Oktober. Oktober adalah bulan yang sangat penting bagi bangsa Indonesia, terlebih bagi para generasi muda, tak terkecuali para wisudawan. Mengapa demikian? Karena pada bulan Oktober tahun 1908, para pemuda merintis etos kebangsaan kita.

“Tanpa etos dan karakter kebangsaan yang dirintis wakil-wakil pemuda daerah saat itu, sukar rasanya kita saat ini berpijak di atas belahan bumi bernama Indonesia,” ujarnya.

Pada periode ini, lanjut Rektor, wisudawan terbaik mencapai IPK sangat baik. Dari standar maksimal 4,0, wisudawan terbaik dari Program Pascasarjana mencapai IPK 3,98, pada jenjang S-3 (3,97). Tren yang sama juga diikuti program sarjana, karena wisudawan terbaik dari program ini meraih IPK 3,88. Ini menunjukkan bahwa lulusan Unnes adalah lulusan yang berkualitas.
