Silaturahmi di FBS, Rektor: Atmosfer Akademik Mesti Ditingkatkan

Rektor Universitas Negeri Semarang Prof Fathur Rokhman MHum melakukan silaturahmi akademik ke Fakultas Bahasa dan Seni, Rabu, 28 Februari 2018. Hadir dalam kesempatan itu, antara lain, Wakil Rektor I Prof Rustono MHum, Kepala Lembaga Penelitian dan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat Prof Totok Sumaryanto, dan Kepala UPT TIK Mona Subagja.

Rektor mengatakan segenap dosen FBS mesti meningkatkan atmosfer akademik. Hal itu bisa dilakukan antara lain dengan cara mengukuhi marwah akademik, yaitu mengajar, meneliti, dan mengabdi, sebagaimana tugas dan kewajiban dalam menjalankan tri darma perguruan tinggi.

Dengan cara itu, menurut Prof Fathur, dosen akan meningkatkan mutu akademik. Atmosfer akademik yang terus terjaga juga akan menciptakan iklim kampus yang ideal. Hal itu akan berpengaruh terhadap mutu mahasiswa. “Mahasiswa akan bangga jika dosennya terus meneliti,” ujarnya.

Silaturahmi akademik dihadiri Dekan FBS Prof Agus Nuryatin MHum, segenap wakil dekan, pengelola jurusan, dan dosen.

Prof Fathur menyatakan jika dalam kontestasi perguruan tinggi, UNNES mesti turut bersanding dengan perguruan tinggi ternama. Ia mengibaratkan kelompok sepakbola asal Semarang, PSIS, yang bisa saja mengajak bertanding dengan Manchester United. “Sekalipun kalah dengan skor 20-0, itu tidak apa-apa. Namun yang terpenting sudah memilih untuk bertanding,” katanya.

Ia juga mendorong dosen untuk bersanding dan “bertanding” dalam bidang keilmuannya masing-masing dengan dosen perguruan tinggi lain. Hal itu, misalnya, terukur dari jumlah kutipan jurnal maupun buku dosen oleh perguruan tinggi lainnya, juga keterlibatan sebagai pembicara dalam forum ilmiah.

Untuk itu, UNNES bakal mampu meraih reputasi internasional jika didukung oleh dosen dan tenaga kependidikan yang bekerja sepenuh hati. Ia memaparkan sejumlah capaian untuk mencapai target prioritas di tahun ini, antara lain ranking dan rating internasional berupa QS Asia 700+ QS Star dua bintang, UI Greenmetric nomor empat. Selain itu, raihan akreditasi internasioanl untuk tiga prodi, rombel internasional 13 rombel, dan mobilitas dosen dan mahasiswa sebanyak 200 orang.

Dalam kesempatan itu, unsur pimpinan FBS juga memaparkan target yang mesti dicapai fakultas pada tahun ini. Dalam bidang akademik, misalnya, Wakil Dekan I Prof M Jazuli MHum menyatakan jumlah publikasi artikel dalam prosiding internasional terindeks Scopus sebanyak 30, jumlah sitasi jurnal di Scopus sebanyak 50, dan jumlah buku referensi ber-ISBN sebanyak 20.
