Siapkan Mahasiswa Melalui Pramuka

Kegiatan kepramukaan sejalan dengan visi Universitas Negeri Semarang sebagai universitas konservasi. Dalam hal ini konservasi moral yang bertujuan untuk membentuk karakter mahasiswa. Kegiatan kepramukaan membentuk karakter mahasiswa sehingga kelak siap, mampu, dan layak membina masyarakat.

Demikian diungkapkan Pembantu Dekan Bidang Kemahasiswaan Fakultas Ilmu Pendidikan (FIP) Unnes Drs Sutaryono MPd, saat Kegiatan Kursus Pembina Pramuka Mahir Tingkat Dasar (KMD) angkatan I Kwarcab Kota Semarang, 5-9 dan 11 Februari 2012, di kampus PGSD Ngaliyan Semarang.

Kegiatan ini, dia mengatakan, bertujuan untuk meningkatkan mutu pembina pramuka mahir tingkat dasar dan membekali calon guru SD untuk menjadi pembina pramuka yang cakap.

“Unnes sangat mendukung kegiatan kepramukaan, terbukti dengan diadakannya sosialisasi Undang-undang Gerakan Pramuka yang dilakukan berbagai tokoh kepramukaan se-Indonesia, yang juga dihadiri Wapres dan Menpora beberapa waktu lalu di Unnes,” ujarnya.

Menurut Sutaryono, kewajiban tiap warga negara pun sejalan dengan kepramukaan. “Pengamalan Pancasila, kesadaran bahwa UUD 45 merupakan sumber hukum, persatuan tanah air, kecintaan dan penghormatan pada merah putih, dan Bhinneka Tunggal Ika sebagai pemersatu bangsa,” paparnya.

Dalam kegiatan yang diikuti tak kurang dari 500 peserta itu, hadir pula Pembina Unit Kegiatan Mahasiswa (UKM) Pramuka SGL PGSD dan 42 pelatih Pusdiklatcab Cakra Baswara Kota Semarang.

Sutaryono berharap supaya kegiatan kepramukaan sebisa  mungkin dibuat menarik dan menyenangkan agar menjadi daya tarik dan tidak semakin ditinggalkan.

“Pramuka merupakan kegiatan yang berkarakter, di dalamnya akan ditempa fisik dan tekad yang kuat,” pungkasnya.
