Anak Muda Lampung itu Ingin Masuk Unnes

Sejumlah 109 siswa SMA Negeri 1 Bandar Sribhawono, Lampung Timur, didampingi 12 gurunya melakukan kunjungan belajar ke Universitas Negeri Semarang (Unnes) terkait peningkatan wawasan siswa terhadap Unnes.

Rombongan dipimpin oleh Suyitno MPd diterima Kepala Biro Administrasi Akademik Kemahasiswaan dan Kerja Sama (BAAKK) Heri Kismaryono MPd didampingi Kepala Bagian Kerjasama Supaat MPd, Mulyadi MM kepala bagian Pendidikan, dan Prini Hapsari  MM kepala sub bagian Pendidikan dan Evaluasi,  Senin (6/1) di auditorium kampus Sekaran.

Setumpuk pertanyaan dilontarkan siswa keingintahuannya tentang keberadaan Unnes. Diantaranya Usmayati menanyakan tentang biaya kuliah, Dian Arifiani Putri menanyakan tes keterampilan, Agung menanyakan mempunyai prestasi tingkat nasional, beasiswa, jumlah mahasiswa yang diterima, dan biaya hidup di lingkungan Unnes.

Mendapat setumpuk pertanyaan itu, Heri Kismaryono menyampaikan Unnes sebagai Universitas konservasi tahun 2014 ini menerima mahasiswa baru melalui tiga jalur. Pertama  jalur Seleksi Nasional Masuk Perguruan Tinggi Negeri (SNMPTN) berdasarkan nilai rapor, hasil ujian nasional (UN), dan prestasi lainnya.

Pemerintah merekomendasikan kepada setiap universitas menerima 50%, namun Unnes menerima 55%. Jalur ini sudah dibuka mulai tanggal 6 Januari, pendaftarannya tidak dipungut biaya alias  gratis.

Kedua  jalur Seleksi Bersama Masuk Perguruan Tinggi Negeri (SBMPTN) menerima 35% berdasarkan ujian tulis dan ujian keterampilan, dan ketiga jalur Mandiri Unnes namanya Seleksi Penerimaan Mahasiswa Unnes (SPMU) menerima 10%  juga berdasarkan ujian tulis dan  keterampilan.

Tahun 2013 kemarin, kata Heri Kismaryono, Unnes menerima 6.680 mahasiswa. Jumlah mahasiswa penerima Bidikmisi selalu meningkat tiap tahun. Ketika tahun 2010 Kementerian Pendidikan Nasional meluncurkannya untuk pertama kali, Unnes dipercaya menyalurkan sebanyak 450, tahun 2011 (1.450), tahun 2012 (1.750), dan tahun 2013 Unnes membebaskan uang kuliah 1.750 mahasiswa kurang mampu. Mulai diluncurkan program Bidikmisi sampai sekarang Unnes menempati peringkat pertama universitas penerima bidikmisi terbanyak.

Heri Kismaryono juga mengemukakan kepercayaan untuk menyalurkan justru ada ketika perguruan tinggi lain turun dari sisi jumlah penerima. “Hal ini karena Unnes selalu melakukan kontrol dan pembinaan supaya penerima Bidikmisi tepat sasaran,” katanya.

Biaya kuliah di Unnes per semester sampai lulus berdasarkan Uang Kuliah Tunggal (UKT) ada 5 kategori. 2013 Kategori I diperuntukan bagi mahasiswa yang tidak mampu yakni Rp 0 sampai Rp 500.000, dan kategori V Rp 5 juta bagi mahasiswa yang mampu.
