Senam pun Diiringi Gamelan

Bukan hal yang asing bagi keluarga besar Universitas Konservasi bila dalam setiap kali senam diiringi gamelan. Hal itu karena tiap Jumat pagi, dosen dan karyawan terbiasa senam menggunakan iringan rekaman audio gamelan yang telah direkam dan disiapkan secara khusus. Begitu halnya Jumat (12/10) pagi, senam itu diiringi gamelan secara langsung.

Dalam rangka pembukaan Bulan Bahasa dan Seni di Fakultas Bahasa dan Seni (FBS) Universitas Negeri Semarang (Unnes), segenap unsur pimpinan, dosen, karyawan dan mahasiswa memenuhi lapangan depan gedung B1 fakultas itu. Mereka menggerakkan badan bersama, mengalun dinamis bersama tetabuhan gamelan dalam tempo cepat.

Selain senam, juga  ditampilkan berbagai sajian kesenian, di antaranya rampak kendang dan perkusi, performance art, tari Rodat yang dibawakan 75 mahasiswa, dan kesenian rebana. Selain itu ada pula penampilan B7 band.

Banyak prestasi

Pembantu Rektor Bidang Kemahasiswaan Unnes Prof Dr Masrukhi yang pagi itu mewakili rektor mengatakan, FBS Unnes merupakan fakultas yang memiliki banyak potensi di bidang seni. “Sudah 4 tahun berturut-turut Jawa Tengah menjadi juara umum di Peksiminas (Pekan Seni Mahasiswa Nasional), dan FBS Unnes adalah tulang punggungnya,” ujar Prof Masrukhi.

Dia juga mengatakan, FBS Unnes harus selalu jadi yang terdepan dalam mengawal konservasi budaya yang sudah menjadi visi Universitas Konservasi. “Setiap kali memasuki FBS serasa melihat kekayaan ragam budaya yang harus kita jaga,” katanya.

Dalam kesempatan itu, Dekan FBS Unnes Prof Dr Agus Nuryatin memaparkan sejumlah kegiatan yang akan diselenggarakan selama Bulan Bahasa dan Seni. “Yang terdekat adalah kompetisi Sinden Idol 2012 yang meskipun telah menjadi agenda universitas, namun FBS akan ambil bagian di dalamnya,” tutur Prof Agus.

Dikatakan, FBS melalui Badan Eksekutif Mahasiswa (BEM) juga menyelenggarakan khitanan massal secara rutin. “Tahun ini adalah tahun kedua dilaksanakan khitan massal bagi warga sekitar kampus,” pungkasnya.

    salut dengan lembaga tinggi ini yg selalu memasukkan unsur budaya dalam kegiatan. walaupun bukan perguruan tinggi seni tapi patut diperhitungkan. dan jangan berhenti ngopeni kabudayan sbg akar yg kuat dlm rangka mbendung budaya-budaya lain yg tidak seharusnya jd panutan

    Siapa lagi kalau bukan kita sendiri yang melestarikan dan mengembangkan warisan budaya yang sudah diakui dunia. Gamelan adalah alat musik yang fleksibel untuk kepentingan apapun, termasuk mengiringi senam, selain sebagai hayatan rasa bernuansa ‘kalem’, salam budaya…
