Seminar ICETVESS Malaysia, Model Kerja Sama Luar Negeri Unggulan

Model kerja sama antara Universitas Negeri Semarang dan Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris (UPSI) merupakan model kerja sama dengan kategori unggulan. Kerja sama yang dilakukan oleh UNNES dan UPSI bersifat komprehensif dan aplikatif serta menguntungkan bagi dua belah pihak. Salah satu bukti keunggulan kerja sama ini adalah terselenggarannya ICETVESS (International Conference on Engineering Technology, Vocational Education and Social Science) 2017 di Tanjung Malim Malaysia, 29-30 Agustus 2017. ICETVESS adalah sebuah seminar kolaborasi yang diselenggarakan oleh dua institusi lintas negara.

Rektor UNNES, Prof. Dr. Fathur Rokhman, M.Hum menyatakan bahwa tren kerja sama dengan mitra luar negeri harus aplikatif. Tidak boleh lagi ada perjalanan dinas keluar negeri berjudul penjajakan saja. Penjajakan harus dibarengi dengan kegiatan akademis yang dapat dilakukan bersama mitra. Semua kerja sama harus berujung pada kegiatan yang produktif. Bahkan, pada ICETVESS 2017, penyelenggara menyediakan kesempatan pada penyaji artikel terbaik untuk menerbitkan karyanya di jurnal terindeks SCOPUS. ICETVESS kali ini mengusung tema “The Emerging trends of TVET and Social Sciences in Asia Pacific Countries” dan UNNES mengirimkan 43 penyaji yang terdiri dari dosen dan mahasiswa.

Tidak hanya itu, ICETVESS juga disertai kegiatan lain yang sangat mendukung arah internasionalisasi UNNES. Kegiatan pendukung yang dilaksanakan UNNES bersama UPSI adalah: Joint Clinic Manuscript UPSI-LP2M UNNES, Visiting Lecturers UPSI at FT UNNES dan Pembahasan MoA Credit Transfer Jurusan Teknik Sipil dan Jurusan PKK serta FPTV UPSI. Pada hari yang sama dengan konferensi tersebut kegiatan kerja sama lain juga berlangsung. Rektor UNNES menjadi Keynote Speaker di UPSI. Tim Kerja Sama UNNES membahas kerja sama dengan KBRI di Kuala Lumpur. Kegiatan lain yang tidak kalah produktif adalah: kunjungan ke Sekolah Indonesia di Kuala Lumpur, inisiasi Joint Student Conference 2018 UNNES-UiTM-UTeM di Kampus UTeM Melaka, penandatanganan MoA  Jurusan Teknik Sipil FT UNNES dengan INDUSTRIALISED BUILDING SYSTEM (IBS) Malaysia, Monev PPL antarbangsa, kajian UNNES bersama Penerbit UPSI dan Wakil Rektor menjadi dosen tamu  di Fakulti Bahasa dan Komunikasi UPSI.

Wakil Rektor Bidang Akademik, Prof. Dr. Rustono, M.Hum., menyampaikan apresiasi bagi UPSI yang telah berkolaborasi untuk menjadi tempat penyelenggara kegiatan ini. Staff Ahli Bidang Kerja Sama Luar Negeri UNNES, Dr. Ratna Dewi Kusumaningtyas, selaku koordinator kegiatan tersebut menyampaikan rasa syukur karena kegiatan tersebut berhasil dilaksanakan dengan lancar dan tanpa hambatan yang berarti.
