Semangat Pascapandemi Jadi Tema Festival Ilustrasi Internasional di Jurusan Seni Rupa UNNES

Jurusan Seni Rupa Fakultas Bahasa dan Seni Universitas Negeri Semarang kembali menggelar pameran dua tahunan Semarang International Illustration Festival (SIIF). Pameran ini berlangsung hingga 31 Oktober 2021 secara virtual melalui platforma Atsteps dan dapat dikunjungi melalui tautan https://bit.ly/siif2021. Ini merupakan kali ketiga jurusan tersebut menggelar SIIF.

Ketua Jurusan Seni Rupa, Dr Syakir, mengatakan tema yang diangkat pada SIIF 3 ini adalah “Restart”. pameran tahun ini diikuti oleh ilustrator dari 60 negara. Syakir menjelaskan bahwa tema itu berangkat dari krisis global akibat pandemi yang telah mengubah lanskap berbagai sendi kehidupan manusia. Untuk itu, Jurusan Seni Rupa menggalang semangat positif kepada seluruh ilustrator dunia untuk menyongsong pascapandemi dengan memulai kembali semangat baru,” ujar Syakir, Rabu (27/10/2021).

Ia berharap SIIF mampu menjadi merek dagang (trademark) yang membawa dampak positif bagi lembaga khususnya dan Kota Semarang pada umumnya. Pameran ini membangun semangat positif bagi para illustrator dalam menghasilkan karya-karya yang berkualitas tinggi. Keberlangsungan kegiatan SIIF selama ini terbukti membawa manfaat bagi terjalinnya kerja sama Jurusan Seni Rupa dengan para profesional, pemangku kebijakan, dan instansi penyelenggara pendidikan tinggi di dalam maupun luar negeri. SIIF 2021 memiliki tiga rangkaian acara, yaitu Lomba Ilustrasi Nasional, Pameran Ilustrasi Internasional, dan International Creative Talk.

Ketua Panitia SIIF 2021, Nadia Sigi Prameswari MSn, mengatakan terdapat 120 karya ilustrasi dari 60 negara. Nadia menjelaskan, sebanyak 120 karya ilustrasi terpilih telah melewati proses kurasi. Karya-karya tersebut dipamerkan secara virtual melalui platform Artsteps. Semua karya ilustrasi memiliki konsep yang berkaitan dengan semangat menyambut pascapandemi dengan berbagai teknik dan media yang beragam, merepresentasikan karakteristik setiap negara. Karya-karya ilustrasi yang menakjubkan tersebut dapat di lihat pada katalog pameran ilustrasi internasional yang dapat diunduh secara daring melalui tautan bit.ly/cataloguesiif.

Pada pembukaan yang diselenggarakan secara virtual, Rektor UNNES Prof Dr Fathur Rokhman mengatakan bahwa tekanan pandemi telah menghasilkan sejumlah inovasi yang disuguhkan oleh para seniman. Fathur mengatakan, pandemi justru menjadi kesempatan dan membuka peluang untuk membuka sekat geografis. Pameran sekaligus interaksi antarseniman kini dapat dilakukan secara virtual, perpaduan antara seni dengan media konvensional dan digital kini menjadi tren. Untuk itu, pihaknya mendukung penuh kegiatan pameran internasional sebagai bagian tak terpisahkan dari visi lembaga menjadi Universitas Berwawasan Konservasi dan Bereputasi Internasional.
