Bambang BR: Bekerjalah untuk Lembaga, Bukan Personal

Lakukan sekecil apa pun untuk kemajuan lembaga.  Lebih baik sedikit bicara dan banyaklah kerja.

Pesan itu disampaikan Ketua Lembaga Penelitian dan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat (LP2M) Universitas Negeri Semarang (Unnes) Drs Bambang Budi Raharjo MSi saat memimpin apel pagi, Senin (21/10), di halaman rektorat kampus Sekaran.

“Sebelum melangkah menuju tempat kerja, rencanakan secara matang apa yang akan kita lakukan. Semisal ada tiga pekerjaan yang harus kita selesaikan, kalau kita bisa mengerjakan dua bagus sekali. Jika hanya mampu menyelesaikan satu saja sudah bagus,” katanya.

Selain itu, Bambang BR mencontohkan, ketika Gunung Merapi akan meletus, Mbah Maridjan disuruh Sultan Hamengku Buwono X untuk hijrah dari tempatnya, tidak mau. Karena keangkuhannya, ia mati diterjang magma. Mengapa demikian? “Yang menugasi Mbah Maridjan Sultan Hamengku Buwono IX. Karena itu, ketika diperintah Sultan Hamengku Buwono X, ia menolak.”

Berangkat dari contoh tersebut, dia kemudian menandaskan, orientasi kita bekerja bukan mengabdi untuk personal, melainkan untuk lembaga.  “Siapa pun pemimpinnya, semangat bekerja di lembaga ini tentu bukan karena takut pada atasan, melainkan lebih pada tanggung jawab sebagai pegawai Unnes,” ujarnya.

  1. Salut….. hebat (lambang “TRI PAMA). bahwa Kumbakarna berperang demi Lembaga (negara alengka) bukan karena saudaranya (dasamuka). Pengalaman membuktikan, mengabdi demi lembaga “tidak akan pernah di kecewakan”. Pahlawan lahir bukan karena pengabdian kepada orang… tapi pengabdian kepada lembaga…

    Setuju….yang lebih penting mari kita memulai dengan introspeksi diri, apakah diri kita masing-masing sudah berkontribusi untuk lembaga, siapapun pimpinannya? dan jauhkan dari sikap mau bekerja hanya karena kepentingan pribadi atau kelompok saja…..yang pasti mencari nafkah untuk menghidupi keluarga

    mbah maridjan angkuh? saya rasa contoh di atas kurang tepat. kita tidak tahu mengapa ia memilih tetap tinggal di sana. barangkali ia lebih memilih mati dalam pengabdiannya.. wallaualam
