Sambut Mahasiswa Baru, UNNES Hadirkan Kepala Staf Kepresidenan Republik Indonesia

Dalam masa Pengenalan Kehidupan Kampus bagi Mahasiswa Baru (PKKMB) tahun 2022, Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES) menghadirkan Kepala Staf Kepresidenan Republik Indonesia Jenderal TNI (Purn) Moeldoko.

Rektor UNNES Prof Dr Fathur Rokhman MHum menyampaikan tahun PKKMB UNNES menghadirkan Jenderal TNI (Purn) Moeldoko menjadi pembicara untuk memotivasi para mahasiswa baru agar berkarakter dan berprestasi.

“Cita-cita menjadi mahasiswa yang berkarakter dan berprestasi itulah yang membuat Pengenalan PKKMB ini menjadi sangat penting. Melalui PKKMB, mahasiswa baru mengenal dan memahami pola Pendidikan di perguruan tinggi yang berbeda dengan Pendidikan di sekolah. Namun yang lebih penting dari itu, melalui PKKMB ini mahasiswa baru dapat meneguhkan tekad menjadi mahasiswa hebat dan menghebatkan, yakni mahasiswa yang berkarakter luhur sekaligus berprestasi unggul,” kata Rektor UNNES.

Untuk meneguhkan tekad itulah, Prof Fathur mengatakan panitia PKKMB telah menyiapkan berbagai kegiatan istimewa, salah satunya dengan mengundang tokoh-tokoh inspiratif Indonesia.

“Salah satu tokoh inspiratif tersebut adalah Bapak Jenderal TNI (Purn.) Moeldoko, Kepala Staf Kepresidenan dan mantan Panglima Tentara Nasional Indonesia. Pemikiran, gagasan, dan pengalaman Panjang yang beliau miliki adalah samudara yang demikian luas untuk ditimba. Oleh karena itu, sangat beruntung jika pada hari ini Suadara dapat belajar langsung kepada beliau,” tutur Prof Fathur.

Kehadiran Kepala Staf Kepresidenan Republik Indonesia itu menurut Prof Fathur membuat para mahasiswa baru termasuk panitia antusias dan berbangga hati.

Dalam kesempatan ini, Kepala Staf Kepresidenan Republik Indonesia Jenderal TNI (Purn) Moeldoko menyampaikan peran generasi muda dalam menjawab tantangan dunia ke depan.

Menurutnya, ada tiga tantangan yang di hadapi dunia ke depan, yakni krisis energi, krisis pangan, dan krisis keuangan global.

Di Indonesia sendiri, Moeldoko menyampaikan krisis yang sedang dialami belum adanya kesiapan daya saing Sumber Daya Manusia.

Untuk menyelesaiakan peran tersebut, Moeldoko mengatakan perlunya peran kampus dan mahasiswa dalam menjawab perubahan.

Menurut Moeldoko kampus merupakan pencetak pemimpin masa depan yang menjadi agen perubahan, penjaga tata nilai, pusat pembelajaran, dan pusat kebudayaan.

“Zaman ke depan adalah zamannya anak muda, anda bukan generasi pewaris, tapi generasi penentu masa depan. Masa depan bukan di pundak kalian, tapi masa depan ada di tangan kalian. Itu pesan saya kepada mahasiswa baru UNNES. Saya yakin setelah lulus dari UNNES anda akan menjadi orang hebat,” pungkas Moeldoko.
