Sabet 21 Emas, Pomnas Jateng Akhirnya Urutan III

Kontingen Jawa Tengah (Jateng) pada Pekan Olahraga Mahasiswa Nasional XIII (Pomnas) 2013 di Yogyakarta akhirnya memperoleh 21 emas, 11 perak, dan 38 perunggu. Dengan raihan itu, Jateng berada pada urutan ketiga.

Dibandingkan dengan Pomnas 2011 di Batam, kontingen Jateng mengalami penambahan jumlah perolehan emas. Pada 2011 Jateng memperoleh 18 emas (urutan II), sedangkan 2013 ini Jateng memperoleh 21 emas sehingga ada pertambahan tiga emas. Akan tetapi dari segi peringkat, Jateng mengalami penurunan satu tingkat, yakni di bawah Jatim naik memperoleh 22 emas jadi hanya selisih satu emas dengan Jateng.

Ketua Badan Pembina Olahraga Mahasiswa Indonesia (Bapomi) Jateng Prof Masrukhi yang juga Pembantu Rektor Bidang Kemahasiswaan Universitas Negeri Semarang (Unnes) mengungkapkan hal itu di ruang kerjanya, Senin (2/12).

“Jateng pada Pomnas 2013 ini bisa dikatakan menguasai cabang olahraga beregu mulai dari bola voli putra, bola voli putri, fusat putra, dan basket putri. Tapi cabang perorangan terutama renang mengalami kemerosotan pada hal 2011 renang menyumbang 5 emas,” kata Prof Masrukhi.

Mengapa ini terjadi? “Karena mahasiswa peraih emas tahun 2011 ini kebanyakan sudah lulus kuliah atau usianya melebihi dari 25 tahun, jadi ada regenerasi pada setiap cabang olahraga,” jelas Prof Masrukhi.

Secara tak terduga cabang olahraga karate dan panahan justru meroket. Panahan diprediksi memperoleh perak malah bisa menyumbang 3 emas. Begitu juga karate yang pada Pomnas 2011 “hanya” menyumbang perak dan perunggu, namun pada Pomnas kali ini meroket menyumbang 5 emas.

Regenerasi
Lebih lanjut Prof Masrukhi mengatakan, regenerasi dalam Pomnas juga senantiasa terjadi terkait dengan status kemahasiswaan atlet. Ketika mereka lulus, mereka tidak bisa ikut Pomnas lagi. Selain itu, ada faktor cabang olahraga yang dipertandingkan, yaitu tiga cabang olahraga wajib: sepak bola, atletik, dan renang.

Sebelas cabang olahraga lain merupakan usulan dari Bapomi penyelenggara dengan disepakati oleh semua pengurus Bapomi se-Indonesia. “Hasil Pomnas 2013 ini akan dievaluasi semua pembantu rektor bidang kemahasiswaan perguruan tinggi negeri maupun swasta seluruh Jateng,” imbuhnya.

    Selamat atas raihan Jateng dengan 21 emas, meski tidak bisa mempertahankan peringkat II nya. Event mendatang Unnes harus lebih memperhatikan lebih kepada pembinaan olahraga terutama cabor atletik dan renang, karena dari 2 cabor itu diperebutkan 50 lebih medali emas, apalagi sudah memiliki lintasan sintetis dan kolam renang…tinggal jangan salah “bidik misi” pembinanya. Tunjuk pembina yang punya komitmen dan kompetensi. Salam olahraga dan Unnes JAYA
