Semua Mahasiswa Baru Ikuti Orientasi Kepramukaan

Tercatat 7.734 mahasiswa baru Universitas Negeri Semarang mengikuti Orientasi Kepramukaan Perguruan Tinggi (OKPT), mulai Jumat (31/08) di fakultas (gugus latih) masing-masing. OKPT diselenggarakan oleh Gugus Depan Kota Semarang 14.111 dan Gugus Depan Kota Semarang 14.112. “Show your action, find the passion with Scout” adalah tema OKPT Unnes 2012.

“Secara umum kegiatan ini teratarbelakangi oleh semangat gerakan kepramukaan di perguruan tinggi,” kata Kepala Gugus Depan (Gudep) 14.111 Drs Wagiran MHum. Unnes sebagai gudep perguruan tinggi (PT) di Indonesia turut bersama memajukan gerakan Pramuka.

“Hal ini sejalan dengan tridarma perguruan tinggi,” tandas Kak Wagiran, sapaan khas dalam kegiatan pramuka.

Kegiatan yang didasarkan pada Undang-undang Republik Indonesia Nomor 12 Tahun 2012 ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pengetahuan dan informasi tentang kepramukaan di PT pada umumnya dan Unnes pada khususnya.

Para pejabat menyemarakkan OKPT yang berlangsung sejak pukul 07.00 WIB dengan bersafari ke delapan fakultas di kampus Sekaran. Safari dimulai dari Fakultas Ekonomi (FE), kemudian berlanjut ke Fakultas Bahasa dan Seni (FBS), Fakultas Ilmu Pendidikan (FIP), Fakultas Ilmu Keolahragaan (FIK), Fakultas Teknik (FT), Fakultas Hukum (FH), Fakultas Ilmu Sosial (FIS), dan berakhir di Fakultas Matematika dan Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam (FMIPA).

Mewakili Rektor, Pembantu Rektor Bidang Kemahasiswaan Prof Masrukhi memberikan sambutan dan motivasi di setiap fakultas.

“Saya harap kalian dapat mengembangakan potensi, bakat, dan minat kepramukaan serta membanggakan kampus tercinta ini,” kata PR III sembari sesekali meminta peserta OKPT bertepuk pramuka.

Ia mengatakan, Unnes menyediakan fasilitas bagi apa pun kegiatan mahasiswa. “Bagi mahasiswa berprestasi telah disiapkan beasiswa.”

Tanpa peduli peluh yang menetes akibat bersepeda mengelilingi fakultas-fakultas, kegiatan safari berlangsung lancar hingga pukul 11.30 yang berakhir di FMIPA.

Riuh suara tepuk pramuka makin meningkatkan semangat siang itu. Yel-yel, tali, dan tongkat pramuka pun semakin melengkapi acara yang masih akan berlanjut Sabtu (1/9) besok.
