Resmi Jadi PTN-BH, UNNES Siap Menjadi Pelopor Kecemerlangan Pendidikan Berwawasan Konservasi

Perjalanan Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES) untuk beralih status dari Perguruan Tinggi Negeri Badan Layanan Umum (PTN-BLU) menjadi Perguruan Tinggi Negeri Badan Hukum (PTN-BH) akhirnya tercapai.

Hal ini menyusul dikeluarkannya Peraturan Pemerintah Republik Indonesia No. 36 Tahun 2022 tertanggal 20 Oktober 2022 yang ditandatangani langsung oleh Presiden Republik Indonesia Ir Joko Widodo.

“Dengan ditandatanganinya oleh Presiden Republik Indonesia Ir. Joko Widodo Peraturan Pemerintah No. 36 Tahun 2022 tentang Perguruan Tinggi Badan Hukum Universitas Negeri Semarang, tertanggal 20 Oktober 2022. Maka terhitung sejak tanggal tersebut UNNES resmi berubah status kelembagaan dari PTN-BLU menjadi PTN-BH,” kata Rektor UNNES Prof Dr Fathur Rokhman MHum.

Prof Fathur mengatakan, menuju PTN-BH merupakan cita-cita besar UNNES untuk menjadi perguruan tinggi berkelas dunia dan membangun pendidikan yang berkualitas di Indonesia.

“Ini menjadi tonggak baru dalam sejarah perkembangan UNNES, kemajuan dan kegemilangan pendidikan. Semoga amanah ini semakin mengukuhkan UNNES dalam memberi peran bagi kemajuan pendidikan di Indonesia,” kata Prof Fathur.

Prof Fathur menyakini dengan visi menjadi Universitas Bereputasi Dunia, Pelopor Kecemerlangan Pendidikan yang Berwawasan Konservasi optimis dapat membangun pendidikan yang berkualitas di Indonesia.

“Melalui visi tersebut, UNNES optimis akan lebih cemerlang dengan kekhasannya menjadi universitas bereputasi dunia, pelopor kecermelangan pendidikan yang berwawasan konservasi dengan spirit Rumah Ilmu Pengembang Peradaban,” kata Prof Fathur.

Prof Fathur menekankan, perubahan ini juga perlu disikapi dengan tindakan nyata oleh seluruh sivitas akademika UNNES dengan beragam prestasi UNNES harus terus ditingkatkan.

Selain itu, UNNES juga akan mengidentifikasi berbagai potensi sumber daya, baik sumber daya manusia, keuangan maupun aset-aset UNNES dan memetakannya sedemikian rupa sebagai landasan menguatkan gerak langkah UNNES menjalani amanah baru yang melekat pada status PTN-BH.

Tak hanya itu, Prof Fathur menyampaikan terkait kecemasan masyarakat tentang biaya kuliah di PTN-BH, UNNES menegaskan akan tetap memberikan afirmasi yang lebih besar kepada mahasiswa yang kurang mampu secara ekonomi.

“UNNES harus menjaga komitmen bahwa UNNES merupakan PTN-BH yang harus tetap memberi peluang pada mahasiswa dari kalangan ekonomi lemah melalui beasiswa dan program di UNNES,” pungkasnya.
