Rektor Unnes Terima Penghargaan dari Presiden

Rektor Universitas Negeri Semarang Prof Dr Sudijono Sastroatmodjo menerima penghargaan dari Kantor Utusan Khusus Presiden untuk Millennium Development Goals (MDGs), di Nusadua Bali, Selasa (26/3).

Penghargaan khusus dalam ajang MDGc Award 2012 itu diberikan atas upaya universitas yang dipimpinnya dalam menurunkan kemiskinan.

Acara penganugerahan yang dibuka oleh Presiden Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY) itu dihadiri tiga menteri koordinator dan sejumlah menteri lainnya.

Unnes juga ditetapkan sebagai pemenang untuk kategori layanan air bersih dan sanitasi untuk organisasi pemuda/akademisi. “Selamat kepada para pemenang yang sesungguhnya merupakan pahlawan MDGs,” ungkap Presiden sesaat sebelum pengumuman.

MDGs Award merupakan penghargaan yang diberikan kepada pemangku kepentingan atas karya pembangunan terbaik yang didedikasikan untuk bangsa ini.

“Ada 611 program yang diusulkan yang berasal dari Pemerintah provinsi, Pemerintah kabupaten/kota, lembaga swadaya masyarakat, organisasi pemuda/akademisi, dan media massa. Dari 611 itu kemudian disaring menjadi 90 pertama, dan dari sejumlah itu ditetapkan lab 44 nomine,” ungkap Prof Dr dr Nila A Muluk, Kepala Kantor Utusan Presiden untuk MDGs.

Dari 44 nomine itu, lanjut Prof Nila, ditetapkanlah para pemenang. “Tidak semua kategori yang disiapkan diisi pemenang, karena setiap pemenang harus pantas disebut yang menginspirasi warga-bangsa Indonesia,” ungkap dia yang didampingi ketua juri Prof Dr Fasli Djalal.

Di hadapan para wartawannya saat jumpa pers, Prof Sudijono menceritakan suka-duka dan hasil memberdayakan warga Kelurahan Tambakrejo di Kota Semarang. “Dulu orang mengenal Tambaklorok sebagai wilayah kumuh dengan warga yang serba kekurangan. namun sekarang, kita akan bisa menyaksikan perubahan mendasar itu,” katanya.

    Prestasi yang HARUS dicermati dan dijadikan referensi dalam memilih calon pemimpin.. Sangat layak Prof Sudijono jadi salah satu figur pemimpin di jenjang yang lebih luas lagi, sesudah tidak menjadi rektor nanti
    Memimpin Jateng ?, siapa takut , ya Prof…. Pasti bisa, dan HARUS BISSA….. !!

    Bukankah pak sudijono sudah mengundurkan diri dari jabatan rektor UNNES sejak mendaftar sebagai calon wakil gubernur…
    Saat di KPU diwawancara menyatakan sdh mengundurkan diri kok masih menerima penghargaan nya sbg rektor bukan perseorangan?
