Rektor Unnes Menjamin Mahasiswanya Bebas Dari Rekrutmen Teroris

Rektor Universitas Negeri Semarang (Unnes) Prof Dr Fathur Rokhman MHum menjamin mahasiswanya bebas dari pemahaman dan rekrutmen teroris.

“Ini karena mahasiswa Unnes terus diberi bimbingan, baik dalam perkuliahan maupun dalam aktivitas kelembagaan mahasiswa di kampus,” kata Prof Fathur ketika menyampaikan pidato pada dialog pencegahan terorisme bersama civitas akademika Unnes 2014, hasil kerjasama dengan Badan Nasional Penanggulangan Terorisme (BNPT), di Kampus Sekaran Gunungpati, Selasa (25/11)

Kepada para mahasiswa, Profesor Sosiolinguistik ini mengharap agar mahasiswa berperan di masyarakat dan menjadi agen penyebar informasi untuk menangkal bahaya terorisme sebagai bentuk pencegahan.

“Ini penting bagi mahasiswa karena kami khawatir ada perubahan gerakan dari terorisme yang sebelumnya merekrut golongan dengan tingkat intelektual biasa, mengarah ke golongan intelektual tinggi seperti mahasiswa,” katanya sembari sesekali meneriakkan yel yel “ konservasi Yes, terorisme no!.

Senada dengan Rektor, mantan Kepala BNPT Irjen Pol (Purn) Ansyaad Mbai juga mengajak mahasiswa Unnes untuk menangkal paham radikal dan terorisme yang kini disinyalemen merambah generasi muda intelektual.

“Jaringan organisasi radikal Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) berpotensi tumbuh di Indonesia, khususnya di kantong-kantong basis teroris, “katanya

BNPT, menurutnya, menaruh harapan agar institusi pendidikan tinggi seperti Unnes dapat menjadi agen pencegahan terorisme karena kaum ilmiah diyakini memiliki wawasan dan pengetahuan yang andal.

“BNPT tidak bisa membayangkan keadaan negeri ini jika ada mahasiswa masuk organisasi yang menganut paham radikal,” kata Ansyaad.

Menilik eksistensi teroris di Indonesia, katanya, dapat dikatakan Indonesia sudah kecolongan karena sesungguhnya pembawa ideologi radikal itu, mengembangkan misi sejak beberapa tahun lalu.

“Yang terbaru adalah ISIS yang juga membawa misi ideologi radikal sehingga harus dicegah agar tidak eksis di negeri ini,” katanya.

Meskipun Ansyaad Mbai tidak menyebutkan jejak ISIS di Tanah Air, namun ISIS dimungkinkan tumbuh di wilayah yang sebelumnya diidentifikasi sebagai kantong-kantong teroris.
