Rektor Resmikan Dekanat FMIPA dan Bubarkan Panitia Dies Natalis

Universitas Negeri Semarang (Unnes) semakin meningkatkan kualitasnya sebagai pionir terdepan dalam perguruan tinggi Lembaga Pendidikan dan Tenaga Kependidkan (LPTK) yakni melakukan penguatan jati diri LPTK dengan melakukan inovasi-inovasi dan meningkatkan riset.

Rektor Universitas Negeri Semarang (Unnes), Prof Dr Fathur Rokhman MHum mengatakan hal itu ketika meresmikan Gedung Dekanat Fakultas Matematika dan Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam (FMIPA) Unnes, Kamis (11/06). Peresmian ditandai dengan pemotongan tumpeng oleh Rektor yang selanjutnya diserahkan kepada Dekan FMIPA Prof Dr Wiyanto MSi.

Prof Fathur mengatakan apresiasinya terhadap FMIPA yang melaksanakan komitmennya untuk menjadikan Unnes sebagai rumah ilmu. Menurutnya, dengan pembangunan dekanat ini, FMIPA  mampu lebih memaksimalkan pelayanan prima.

“Salah satunya melalui FMIPA, Unnes harus tumbuh sebagai rumah ilmu yakni atmosfir akademik harus berbasis pada ilmu pengetahuan yang muaranya pada sumber daya manusia (SDM) baik dosen, dan mahasiswa harus ditingkatkan kualitasnya,” kata Rektor.

Rektor juga menyampaikan, bangunan semegah ini adalah bagian dari kerja sama Unnes dengan Islamic Development Bank (IDB) dalam bidang sarana dan prasarana.

Sebelumnya, Rektor membubarkan panitia Dies natalis ke 50 Unnes tahun 2015. Pembubaran ditandai penyerahan buku laporan kegiatan Dies dan tongkat estafet kepanitiaan oleh Dekan FMIPA kepada Rektor, yang selanjutnya Rektor memberikan tongkat tersebut kepada Dekan Fakultas Teknik untuk menjadi panitia Dies Natalis Unnes tahun 2016.
