Rektor Resmikan Bengkel Ahass KPRI Handayani

Setelah peletakan batu pertama pada 9 Mei silam, gedung bengkel Ahass KPRI Handayani Universitas Negeri Semarang (Unnes) di Jalan Taman Siswa Sekaran Gunungpati, diresmikan penggunaannya.

Pengguntingan rangkaian melati sebagai tanda peresmian bengkel yang dikelola oleh Koperasi Pegawai Republik Indonesia (KPRI) Handayani Unnes itu dilakukan oleh Rektor Unnes Prof Sudijono Sastroatmodjo, disaksikan Ketua KPRI Handayani Walid, Supervisor Servis Area Semarang PT Astra International Jawa Tengah Asri Winardi, dan beberapa pejabat dari Unnes maupun dari luar Unnes, Kamis (11/10).

Dalam sambutannya Rektor menuturkan, dengan diresmikannya gedung Ahass yang representatif dan didukung tata ruang yang baik, diharapkan dapat diberikan pelayaanan yang lebih aman dan nyaman bagi anggota KPRI dan masyarakat di sekitar kampus Sekaran. “Supaya koperasi bisa terus berkembang, tentu harus meningkatkan kualitas pelayanannya,” tandasnya

Rektor juga menyampaikan terima kasih kepada Ahass yang telah memercayakan pengembangan ini kepada KPRI Handayani dan berharap kehadiran Ahass dapat membuktikan bahwa KPRI Handayani serius dalam meningkatkan layanan kepada anggota dan masyarakat sekitar kampus. “Kepercayaan ini harus dijaga. Menjaga kepercayaan memang tidak ringan, tetapi apa pun bentuknya kepercayaan akan terasa indah bila dijalankan dengan bijak dan penuh tanggung jawab,“ tegas Rektor.

Setelah Rektor menggunting rangkaian melati dan menandatangani prasasti peresmian, beberapa pejabat yang hadir menuliskan beberapa kata pada lembaran kain putih sebagai ucapan dan harapan bagi Ahass Handayani.

Bangunan Ahass Handayani yang terpisah dari kampus dan berada di tengah-tengah masyarakat ini, menurut Ketua KPRI Handayani, diharapkan dapat menjadi sarana untuk membangun sinergi dengan visi misi-Unnes untuk menjadi kampus konservasi. “Selain itu, agar Ahass Handayani dapat lebih dirasakan kebermanfaatannya bagi anggota dan masyarakat luas,” kata Walid.

Pembukaan bengkel Ahass Handayani ini tidak sekadar dengan misi bisnis. “Kami juga akan melatih para mekanik di sini,” kata Supervisor Servis Area Semarang PT Astra International Jawa Tengah, Asri Winardi.
