Rektor: Pertahankan “Nilai”

Pembekalan baru berjalan empat hari saja anda sudah mampu menjabarkan 12 bekal untuk terjun ke tiga daerah Terdepan, Terluar, dan Tertinggal, apalagi masih ditambah delapan hari lagi pasti kalian akan tambah lebih banyak lagi nilai bekalnya.

Rektor Universitas Negeri Semarang (Unnes) Prof Fathur Rokhman mengatakan itu saat memberi pengarahan pada peserta pembekalan program Sarjana Mendidik di daerah Terdepan, Terluar, dan Tertinggal (SM-3T) Rabu (4/9) malam di Sinode Salatiga.

“Nilai itu penting.  Semakin tinggi nilai yang anda bawa, semakin kuat nilai yang anda miliki, walau pun ada berbagai tantangan dan rintangan terjadi anda tetap dihargai karena anda sebagai sarjana yang bernilai. Sebaliknya anda tidak memilki nilai dalam tugas, maka anda menjadi orang yang tidak berarti,” kata  Rektor.

Rektor juga mengemukakan, jika nilai itu berkurang maka anda rugi. Apa yang menyebabkan berkurangnya nilai ketika anda bertugas? Pertama adalah tingkah laku yang kurang mulia, sehingga kemuliaan guru hilang atau martabat anda hilang. Kedua tidak mau mengajar, malas bertugas, mengeluh, atau putus asa.

Oleh karena itu, kata Rektor, perkuatlah nilai bekal anda dan bersyukur karena anda adalah orang-orang yang dipilih dari sekian ribu orang yang mendaftar untuk menjadi pengubah pada masyarakat di daerah penerjunan supaya mendapatkan pencerahan dari anda dalam hal kebaikan.

Nilai itu sangat penting, kalian tidak usah takut akan diterjunkan dimana saja misalnya di Papua, Aceh, Kalimantan, atau di Nusa Tenggara Timur (NTT) itu masih wilayah Indonesia tercinta yang menjadi kebanggaan kita, pesan Rektor.

Jadi ‘Salam Abita’ (Aku Bangga Indonesia Tanah Airku) yang anda ucapkan tadi, kata Rektor, menjadi bekal nilai yang anda bawa yaitu kebanggaan kepada negara Republik Indonesia. Di wilayah penerjunan itu walau pun berbeda-beda tetap saudara-saudara kita yang justru anda harus bisa mencerahkan, memberikan sinar pada masyarakat yang lain dengan nilai yang anda bawa.

“Saya percaya kalian semua yang akan terjun di daerah SM-3T pasti punya kemampuan dan prestasi bagus,”tegas Prof Fathur Rokhman.

Bawalah nilai dengan baik dan kibarkan Unnes di tempat anda mengabdi karena Unnes memiliki karakter yakni konservasi. Di tempat mengabdi bawalah keramahan, hormat, semangat berprestasi, menanam, dan menanam kebaikan yang lain. Kami bersama pimpinan Unnes lain akan memantau  di setiap daerah tempat mengabdi anda, pesan Rektor.

Diakhir pencerahan rektor berpantun jalan-jalan ke pantai Marina, beli makan di kota lama, mendidik penuh suka cita, SM-3T cerminan karakter bangsa.
