Rektor Melantik Pengurus Baru UKM Kesenian Jawa

Rektor Universitas Negeri Semarang (Unnes) Prof Dr Fathur Rokhman MHum melantik para pengurus baru Unit Kegiatan Mahasiswa (UKM) Kesenian Jawa, Jumat (18/4), di B6 Fakultas Bahasa dan Seni (FBS) Unnes.

Kanthi sartosing budi jumangkah minangka jejer pengarsa kawula Unnes, handar pakesi kapingit dadi pangarsaning UKM Kesenian Jawa,” Prof Fathur membacakan serat kekancingan itu ketika melantik para pengurus UKM yang terdiri atas Karawitan, Ketoprak, Panembrama, Tari Klasik, dan Tari Kreasi itu.

Setelah membacakan serat kekancingan yang tiada lain adalah surat keputusan, Prof Fathur menuangkan air dari dalam kendi ke masing-masing pengurus baru. Air itu sebagai wujud amanat yang harus dijaga dan tanggung jawab yang harus diemban selama menjadi pengurus organisasi. Hadir dalam kesempatan itu, Dekan FBS Unnes Prof Dr Agus Nuryatin, Pembantu Dekan III Fakultas Teknik, Supraptono MPd, para pendamping UKM Kesenian Jawa, dan beberapa dosen.

Prof Fathur mengungkapkan, dalam prosesnya, UKM Kesenian Jawa telah menghasilkan banyak prestasi. “Tahun 2013, UKM Karawitan telah menjuarai festival karawitan tingkat nasional di Solo. Tahun sebelumnya, karawitan dan tari dari Unnes juga disuguhkan di Prancis,” ujarnya.

Berbagai prestasi itu, kata rektor, sejatinya mengukuhkan Unnes sebagai Universitas Konservasi yang telah menjadikan seni dan budaya tradisi sebagai salah satu pilar penyangganya. “Dengan berkesenian, kita telah memaknai kehidupan dengan cara yang sangat indah,” katanya.

Selama acara itu, dipentaskan berbagai sajian dari masing-masing UKM, di antaranya Gending Unnes Konservasi, tari Jemparingan dan Bambangan Cakil, paduan suara tembang Jawa panembrama, dan ketoprak lakon Bumi Maeswara. Dua mahasiswi asing Program Darmasiswa Unnes, Angela Arunarsirakul dan Asuka Tachizaki, ikut menembang dalam sajian panembrama.

Pementasan ketoprak sebagai puncak acara mampu memikat penonton yang memadati gedung B6. Ketoprak disutradarai oleh Heri Purnomo, mahasiswa Jurusan Bahasa dan Sastra Jawa, dan iringan ditata oleh Sugiyanto, alumnus Pascasarjana ISI Surakarta yang juga dosen luar biasa di Jurusan Sendratasik.

Bumi Maeswara berkisah tentang perundingan antara Pakubuwono III dan Belanda yang menghasilkan surat kesepakatan atau Traktat Reconsiliatie, pambagian kuasa wilayah Mataram. Kejadian tersebut terkenal dengan Perjajanjian Giyanti. Hal itu menandai berdirinya kerajaan Kasultanan Yogyakarta Hadiningrat dengan raja pertama yang bergelar Sultan Hamengku Buwono Senopati hingalaga Ngabdurrahman Sayidin panetep panatagama khalifatullah ing tanah Jawa.
