Rektor Lepas Delegasi FIP ke Korea

Enam belas dosen Jurusan Pendidikan Guru Pendidikan Anak Usia Dini (PG PAUD) Fakultas Ilmu Pendidikan (FIP) FIP Unnes akan berangkat ke Seoul, Korea, untuk mengikuti Internasional Pasific Early Childhood Education Research Assosiation (PECERA) XIV. Selama lima hari, Selasa-Minggu (2-7/7) mereka akan mengikuti kegiatan bertema Empowering Children’s Emphaty via Early Childhood Education itu.

Melepas delegasi, Rektor Unnes Prof Dr Fathur Rokhman MHum berpesan supaya menjadikan kegiatan tersebut sebagai sarana menginternasionalisasikan Unnes. “Internasionalisasi memang suatu hal berat, tetapi kita bisa mencapainya. Caranya dengan menjadikan Unnes dinikmati dunia. Dinikmati suasananya, juga karya karyanya, antara lain melalui presentasi di forum internasional, “ kata Prof Fathur, Senin (1/7).

Rektor juga berpesan agar delegasi mengambil kesempatan di Korea untuk mempromosikan Unnes. “Internasionalisasi Unnes harus selalu dipromosikan di mana pun kita berada, termasuk Korea,” ujar Rektor beberapa saat setelah memimpin apel pagi di fakultas itu.

Selain mendukung internasionalisasi, menurut Dekan FIP Hardjono MPd, tema kegiatan tersebut sangat relevan dengan agenda Unnes di bidang pendidikan karakter. “PECERA tahun ini mengangkat tema empati. Saya berharap, anak anak muda di Jurusan PG PAUD bisa belajar bagaimana mitra mereka di kawasan Asia Pasifik menghidupkan roh tersebut kepada para belia,” katanya sembari berharap kegiatan tersebut menjadi embrio bagi pengembangan atmosfir FIP di masa mendatang.

Menurut Ketua Jurusan PG PAUD Edi Waluyo, pada kesempatan tersebut delegasi juga akan menjalin kerja sama dengan para peneliti dan badan badan PAUD di kawasan Asia Pasifik. “Tiga bulan ini kami menyiapkan delegasi, termasuk mengontak potential collaboratiors, dan alhamdulillah mereka menunjukkan respon positif,” kata Edi.
