Rektor ke-5  UNNES Prof AT Soegito SH MM Meninggal Dunia

Rektor ke-5 Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES) Prof Dr AT Soegito SH MM meninggal dunia pada hari Minggu 29 Januari 2023 pukul 18.30 WIB.

Guru besar Fakultas Ilmu Sosial (FIS) yang pernah memimpin UNNES pada periode 2002-2006 tutup usia pada umur 79 Tahun karena sakit.

Pada upacara persemayaman jenazah dan penghormatan akademik, Rektor UNNES Prof Dr S Martono MSi menyampaikan Prof AT sebagai tokoh teladan dan tuntunan bagi sivitas akademika UNNES.

“Innalillaahi wa inna ilaihi rooji’uun atas nama keluarga besar UNNES, Rektor dan Pimpinan ikut berbela sungkawa, juga menyampaikan rasa duka yang sedalam-dalamnya atas meninggalnya Prof Dr AT Soegito SH MM. Semoga Almarhum diterima di sisi-Nya.”

“Semoga almarhum Husnul khatimah, diterima amal ibadah dan kebaikannya, diampuni dosa dan kesalahannya oleh Allah SWT dan keluarga yang ditinggalkan diberi ketabahan serta kesabaran, amin,” kata Rektor UNNES.

Sepanjang kepemimpinannya, Prof AT dikenal rendah hati dan memiliki jiwa solidaritas tinggi. Almarhum juga telah memberikan banyak teladan kepada para mahasiswa, dosen, dan karyawan UNNES.

“Banyak cerita luar biasa tentang almarhum yang hingga kini masih terus kita teladani. Rektor dan jajaran pimpinan bersaksi bahwa Prof Dr AT Soegito SH MM adalah orang baik,” kata Rektor UNNES.

Prof Dr AT Soegito SH MM lahir di Grobogan 9 Maret 1943. Berkarir di bidang akademik sejak Januari 1969 hidupnya nyaris tidak pernah dipisahkan dari dunia pendidikan. Berkiprah di dunia pendidikan selama puluhan tahun membuatnya memiliki berbagai karya, diantaranya Biografi Nasional Daerah Jawa Tengah (1993), Tartib Prawirodihardjo: Hasil Karya dan Pengabdiannya (1984), Dr. Rajiman Widyodiningrat: Hasil Karya dan Pengabdiannya (1998), dan Pahlawan Nasional Prof. Mr. Dr. R. Supomo (1977).

Karya lain yang pernah beliau tulis adalah Pancasila Tinjauan dari Aspek Historis (1983), Sejarah Pergerakan Bangsa Sebagai Titik Tolak Memahami Asal Mula Pancasila (1999), dan Pendidikan Pancasila (2009), Total Quality Managemen PT (2012), Sejarah Ketatanegraan Republik Indonesia (2012), dan Kepemimpinan Manajemen Berbasis Sekolah (2012).
