Rektor Ingatkan Perlunya “Eling lan Waspada”

Rektor Universitas Negeri Semarang (Unnes) Prof Dr Sudijono Sastroatmodjo MSi mengingatkan semua warga kampus untuk senantiasa eling lan waspada. Sebab, hanya dengan sikap tersebut setiap insan kampus akan bisa menghadapi setiap gejala jaman edan.

Peringatan tersebut disampaikan saat apel pagi di halaman rektorat kampus Sekaran, Senin (1/10). Apel diikuti para pejabat dan tenaga kependidikan yang sehari-hari bertugas di gedung G dan H kampus Sekaran.

“Betapa kita saksikan sekarang gejala jaman edan tampak di mana-mana. Ada tawur antarsiswa, antarsekolah, antarmahasiswa, antarkampung, bahkan perkelahian sdi antara anggota Dewan. Sampai-sampai ada ungkapan ‘yen ora edan ora keduman‘. Dalam kondisi seperti itu, kalau kita tidak eling lan waspada, bisa-bisa kita katut untuk ikut ngedan,” katanya.

, menurut Rektor, maknanya demikian luas bahkan multitafsir. “Namun ia mencakupi ranah habluminannas dan hablu minallah, hubungan antara manusia dan manusia serta hubungan antara makhluk dan Sang Pencipta,” ungkap Rektor.

Dalam konteks kehidupan kampus, lanjut Rektor, setiap pegawai hendaknya senantiasa eling terhadap kewajibannya. Rektor lantas mengingatkan kembali tentang wajib, penting, dan mendesak.

“Wajiblah yang nomor satu. Sekalipun tidak penting tetapi wajib, harus ditunaikan. Ngantor sejak Senin hingga Jumat mulai pukul 07.00 itu wajib. Sekalipun, misalnya, tidak ada hal yang penting atau mendesak yang mesti dikerjakan saat itu, tetap wajib hadir tepat waktu. Jangan sampai hadir saja kalau menganggap ada yang penting atau mendesak,” tandasnya.
