Rektor dan Pejabat Ziarah ke Leluhur Unnes

Rektor Universitas Negeri Semarang (Unnes) Prof Dr Fathur Rokhman MHum bersama sejumlah pejabat  Unnes berziarah ke makam mantan presidium, rektor, pembantu rektor, dan tokoh yang berjasa pada pengembangan Unnes, Senin (24/3).

Ziarah dimulai di Makam Bergota Semarang di makam mantan Gubernur Jawa Tengah yang juga mantan Presidium Institut Keguruan dan Ilmu Pendidikan (IKIP) Semarang Drs Mochtar. Ziarah dilanjutkan di makan Drs Hari Mulyono, mantan Rektor IKIP Semarang, di makam Cantung Mrican Semrang, mantan Pembantu Rektor II Prof Soegijono Msi , Prof Satmoko (sesepuh pendidikan), dan KH Syaiful Anwar (Abah Saiful) di ketileng.

Sebelumnya, Rektor bersama rombongan juga berziarah ke makam Prof Wuryanto mantan Rektor IKIP Semarang di makam Astana Bibis Luhur Ngemplak, Mojosongo, Surakarta yang diikuti keluarga besar almarhum Prof Wuryanto.

“Unnes bisa berkembang besar seperti sekarang ini tak lepas dari jasa para pimpinan pendahulu. Itulah kenapa, keluarga besar Unnes tak boleh melupakan jasa-jasa para perintis. Semoga amal kebaikannya mendapat imbalan dari Allah,” kata Rektor saat memberi sambutan di makam Mochtar di Bergota.

Perjalanan yang sekarang saya jalankan ini, kata Rektor, merupakan tinggal melanjutkan perjuangannya sehingga tidak ada niatan untuk melupakan jasa-jasa para pendahulu tersebut, jelasnya.

Rektor juga menyampaikan saat berziarah seperti ini, ada dua hal yang tertanam pada diri kita yakni ingat kepada Allah dan mati. Karena setiap makhuk ciptaan Allah pasti mati.

Dekan Fakultas Ilmu Sosial Dr Subagyo MPd disela-sela ziarah menyampaikan, kegiatan ziarah seperti ini diagendakan setiap tahun dalam saat Dies Natalis Unnes. Kali ini menziarahi ke 18 orang di dalam kota dan luar kota.

    Menghormati Leluhur adalah langkah mulia yang bisa ditempuh oleh umat manusia supaya apa yang akan mereka kerjakan menjadi lancar. Hal ini sejalan dengan perihal bijak yang mengatakan bahwa untuk dapat sukses dimasa yang akan datang, hendaklah kita belajar dari apa yang kita peroleh pada masa lalu. Yang kurang baik menjadi baik dan yang sudah baik menjadi lebih baik.
