Rektor: Berkurban Hilangkan Nafsu-nafsu Hewani

Dengan melaksanakan ibadah kurban, setidaknya kita meletakkan semua kebanggaan dan jabatan untuk diabdikan kepada Allah, terutama untuk menghilangkan nafsu-nafsu hewani. Itulah makna kurban, yakni memotong sifat buruk manusia yang mementingkan diri sendiri.

Prof Fathur Rokhman Rektor Universitas Negeri Semarang (Unnes) menyampaikan itu disela-sela melihat penyembelihan hewan kurban, Selasa (15/10) di Masjid Ulul Albab kampus Sekaran. Unnes tahun ini memotong sepuluh ekor sapi dan lima kambing.

Hadir pula, Pembantu Rektor Bidang Kemahasiswaan Prof Masrukhi, Prof Agus Nuryatin Dekan Fakultas Bahasa dan Seni (FBS), Prof Wiyanto (Dekan FMIPA), Bambang BR (Ketua Lembaga Penelitian dan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat), dan Pembantu Dekan.

“Mari kita berkurban dengan membersihkan hati kita dari sifat buruk. Yang digambarkan dengan memotong hewan sebagai bentuk membunuh sifat kehewanan itu dengan harapan kita dibimbing Allah menjadi orang yang bertakwa,” kata Prof Fathur Rokhman.

Prof Fathur juga mengemukakan, ibadah kurban di samping suatu sunah yang diutamakan, bahkan Nabi Muhammad sendiri mengatakan bahwa kalau yang memiliki kemampuan tapi tidak berkurban maka jangan masuk ke dalam masjidku. “Itu menunjukkan ibadah kurban ini diutamakan bagi orang-orang yang mampu,” katanya.

Manfaat kurban ini banyak, kata Prof Fathur, selain menunjukkan puji syukur kepada Allah yang memberikan karunia nikmat begitu banyak juga rasa syukur itu diwujutkan dengan pengurbanan yang memberikan hewan kurban untuk dipotong dan dagingnya diberikan kepada orang-orang yang berhak menerimanya.

“Dengan melakukan kurban ini, hubungan warga Unnes dengan masyarakat sekitar kampus semakin erat, guyup, akrab, dan sekaligus memakmurkan masjid,” kata Rektor yang juga Profesor Linguistik itu.

Prof Fathur berharap dengan bersama-sama berkurban ini kita saling berdoa kepada Allah, mudah-mudahan Unnes mendapatkan sinar dari ibadah kurban ini dan juga memberikan manfaat seperti doa Nabi Ibrahim pada waktu itu yang menjadikan daerah Mekah menjadi daerah yang aman, tenteram, tidak kekurangan bahan makanan, dan semua warga Mekah menjadi warga sejahtera.

Ketua Panita Untung Waluyo MPd menyampaikan, hewan kurban tersebut berasal dari dosen, karyawan, SLTP dan SMU Semesta Gunungpati, dan Bank Jateng. Panitia kurban menyerahkan satu ekor sapi kepada warga binaan Unnes (Tambaklorok) untuk dipotong di sana.

Untung menambahkan, hewan kurban yang dipotong di masjid Ulul Albab dagingnya didistribusikan kepada yang berhak menerima, antara lain kepada warga Unnes, warga sekitar kampus, dan panti asuhan.

    Semoga ibadah kurban kita diterima Allah SWt dan kita mampu belajar ttg Hakikat cinta, kejujuran dan pengorbanan dari (Ibrahim, Siti Hajar dan Ismail) sosok manusia-manusia agung dalam sejarah umat manusia.
