Radiografi Digital Mobile untuk Lab Fisika Medik

Sistem radiografi digital (RD), selama ini dianggap sebagai teknologi import yang canggih, mahal, dan memerlukan kemampuan sumber daya yang tinggi. Pengadaan secara built-in cenderung menyerap dana cukup besar terutama untuk alat Lab, sekaligus tidak memberi nilai tambah bagi institusi.

Berdasar kiriman email elektronik ke unnes.ac.id (03/01), Ketua tim Peneliti Dr Susilo MSi Fakultas Matematika dan Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam (FMIPA) Universitas Negeri Semarang (Unnes) mengatakan, upaya pengembangan sistem RD untuk aplikasi sinar-X, mencoba memodifikasi sistem radiografi konvensional (RK) menjadi sistem pencitraan RD mobile untuk pengembangan lab fisika medik dalam mendukung program konservasi Unnes.

Menurutnya, sistem yang telah dibangun dalam penelitian sebelumnya menggunakan unit generator sinar-X tetap, yang sudah banyak dipakai dan masih ada di berbagai Rumah Sakit Kota/Daerah.

“Melalui penelitian inilah, dikembangkan model prototipe aplikasi pencitraan RD mobile yang dilengkapi dengan sistem proteksi radiasi mobile, dan sistem penangkap gambar yang dibangun dari tabung kedap cahaya, intensifying screen bersama kamera DSLR dan pengolah citra,” tuturnya.

Output penelitian ini, model prototipe sistem pencitraan radiografi digital mobile (tanpa film), penanganan mitigasi bencana serta upaya perbaikan kualitas buah segar.

Dr Susilo juga mengatakan, penelitian ini akan dilaksanakan 3 tahun, pada tahun pertama ini, merancang bangun sistem Radiografi Digital yang disusun, membangun tabung kedap cahaya (light tight tube) dibelakang intensifying scree, maka bayangan obyek bisa ditangkap oleh kamera DSLR untuk ditampilkan pada layar monitor PC (radiograf), “alat ini menjadikan pemrosesan film radiografi konvensional tidak diperlukan lagi,” ungkapnya.
