PT Kubota-Unnes Tanam 1.972 Pohon Tanjung

PT Kubota Indonesia bekerjasama dengan Universitas Negeri semarang (Unnes) menanam sebanyak 1.972 pohon tanjung, Jumat (21/6) di lahan milik Unnes kawasan Gunung Ledek, Terangkil, kelurahan Sukorejo, Gunungpati.

Hadir kegiatan menanam ini Pembantu Rektor Bidang Akademik (PR I) Dr Agus Wahyudi, Pembantu Rektor Bidang Kemahasiswaan (PR III) Prof Masruki, Dekan, Pembantu Dekan, ribuan mahasiswa, dosen, karyawan, dan perwakilan dari PT Kubota Indonesia.

Kegiatan diawali dengan penyerahan bibit pohon tanjung dari Presiden Direktur PT Kubota Indonesia Yodo Kawase kepada Pembantu Rektor Bidang Akedemik Dr Agus Wahyudin.

Selain penyerahan bibit, juga dilakukan penandatanganan Prasasti untuk mengimplementasikan kerjasama antara Unnes dengan PT Kubota Indonesia.

Presiden Direktur PT Kubota Yodo Kawase mengatakan kegiatan ini dalam rangka hari ulang tahun (HUT) Kubota ke-40. Dengan usia yang sudah empat puluh tahun ini PT Kubota Indonesia ingin berbuat yang terbaik untuk Indonesia, salah satunya adalah menanam pohon untuk menjaga kelestarian alam tercintya ini.

“Saya sangat terharu bisa berkumpul dengan kaum muda sebanyak 1.200 ini karena di kantor belum pernah berkumpul seperti ini terima kasih kepada pimpinan dan warga Unnes,” kata Mr Kawase.

Kawase juga mengemukaka, PT Kubota Indonesia berdiri di Semarang sejak tahun 1972 memproduksi mesin disel, umumnya diperguanakan di pertanian dan perindustrian.

“Kubota ini masih bisa berdiri sampai sekarang berkat dukungan dari semua petani yang ada di Indonesia dan oleh alam Indonesia itu sendiri,” katanya.

Selain berkontribusi kepada pertanian dan industri, kata Kawase, Kubota juga harus berkontribusi kepada alam atau merawat alam kita ini. Maka kegiatan menanam ini mengusung tema For Earth For Life.

“Sekali lagi PT Kubota sangat terharu dan terima kasih, para mahasiswa di sini menanam 1 pohon 1 mahasiswa dan merawatnya sampai lulus, walaun pun itu tugas berat namun diharapkan bisa merawat pohonnya masing-masing,” tegasnya.

Mr Kawase berharap ke depan bisa melaksanakan even lain bersama-sama seperti sekarang ini.

Misalnya PT Kubota dan Unnes- melalui UPT Perpustakaannya sebagai salah satu unit di universitas, bekerja sama dalam mengembangkan CONSERVATION CORNER/Pojok Konservasi yang semula merupakan sebuah gagasan- https://unnes.ac.id/gagasan/mendamba-pojok-konservasi/. Corner tersebut merupakan suatu bentuk partisipasi perpustakaan dalam turut serta menggaungkan visi Unnes sebagai Universitas Konservasi.
    Diharapkan dengan Conservation Corner tersebut, Unnes Konservasi akan semakin bergema ditengah-tengah masyarakat, antara lain melaui pengguna perpustakaan/pemustakanya. Kiranya harapan ini tak berlebihan bila dapat terwujud, sebagaimana corner-corner lain yang ada di perpustakaan perguruan tinggi pada umumnya. Trimakasih.
