Tim PS Unnes Lolos ke Lipio Nasional

Tim Sepak Bola Universitas Negeri Semarang (PS Unnes) akan mewakili Jateng dalam Liga Pendidikan Indonesia (Lipio) Universitas Tingkat Nasional. Itu setelah mereka menyisihkan Undip pada laga terakhir yang berlangsung di Stadion Undip Tembalang dengan skor im,bang 0-0, Minggu (15/7).

Kumbul Slamet Budiyanto Pelatih PS Unnes melaporkan hal itu kepada pemimpin Unnes. Bersama rombongan, dia diterima Pembantu Rektor Bidang Kemahasiswaan Prof Masrukhi MPd yang didampingi oleh Pembatu Dekan Bidang Kemahasiswaan Fakultas Ilmu KeolahragaanDrs Nasoka MKes dan Drs Suhardo MM, Kabag Kemahasiswaan di rektorat kampus Sekaran, Senin (16/7).

“Unnes secara keseluruhan memperoleh sembilan gol dan Undip enam gol sehingga menjadi juara, sedangkan Undip peringkat kedua,” kata Kumbul.

Kumbul juga mengemukakan, kesembilan gol itu diperoleh ketika pertama Unnes bertanding melawan UPS Tegal menang 3-0, kedua melawan USM Semarang menang telak 6-0, dan pada laga terakhir melawan Undip imbang 0-0.

Dia menambahkan, penyerang Unnes Rico Yuliar dinobatkan sebagai pemain terbaik dan top scorer setelah mengoleksi empat gol. Undip terpilih sebagai tim fair play.

Prof Masrukhi mengatakan, itu adalah awal yang bagus karena para pemain rata-rata baru semester II dan IV. “Ini sangat menggembirakan, karena ada regenerasi dari pemain dan tantangannya ke depan sangat berat karena akan berlaga di tingkat nasional,” katanya.

Sekadar catatan, tim sepak bola Unnes dua kali ikut di Pekan Olahraga Mahasiswa Nasional (POMNas) berturut-turut menjadi juara II kalah tipis, yakni 1-0. Pertama di Banjarmasin, kedua di Palembang 2009 kalah dari Surabaya. “Tradisi masuk final ini harus kalian kembangkan sehingga persiapkan sebaik-baiknya untuk menghadapi laga di tingkat nasional September mendatang dalam perebutan  Piala Presiden,” kata Prof Masrukhi.

Pembantu Rektor III mengingatkan tim sebagai pemain sepak bola yang juga mahasiswa. “Karena itu, etika mahasiswa harus betul-betul diterapkan, yaitu pemain cerdas, jujur, fair play, menjunjung tinggi kebersamaan, dan berpegang teguh pada sportivitas. Dengan memegang prinsip seperti itu, kalian menjadi pemain-pemain terbaik dan kegiatan akademik pun harus di-manage dengan baik.”
