Program PHP2 FMIPA UNNES Mendapat Apresiasi dari Belmawa

Masyarakat Desa Morodemak memiliki potensi bahan baku terasi yang melimpah, tetapi karena keterampilan yang belum dimiliki warga, selama ini bahan baku terasi dijual ke daerah lain demikian menurut Mujahidin selaku Kepala Desa Morodemak, Kabupaten Demak.

Di desa tersebut sebelumnya sudah memiliki kelompok usaha, tetapi sudah lebih dari 3 tahun, kelompok usaha tidak lagi aktif karena tidak ada pihak yang menggerakkan secara terprogram.

Inisiatif pemberdayaan dimulai dari fungsionaris Unit Kegiatan Mahasiswa Kewirausahaan Fakultas Matamatika dan IPA Universitas Negeri Semarang, unit ini mengusulkan proposal pemberdayaan masyarakat ke Belmawa Kemendikbud melalui skema PHP2D tahun 2021. Tim lolos pendanaan dengan didanai 35 juta dari Kemendikbud dan 5 juta dana pendamping dari fakultas.

Pemberdayaan pun dimulai dan telah berhasil mengaktifkan kembali Kelompok Usaha Terasi (KUT) yang kemudian melakukan pemberdayaan pada kelompok usaha terasi. Produk olahan terasi yang berhasil dikembangkan dalam bentuk terasi dengan berbagai bentuk dan kemasan, kerupuk terasi, cemilan dan olahan makanan berbahan terasi lainnya.

Mitra pemberdayaan di Desa Morodemak yang digandeng UKM ini adalah Dinas Koperasi Kabupaten Demak. Pihak dinas koperasi juga turut hadir pada Monev yang dilakukan Ibu Jeki Wibawanti dan Firda Arfiah dari Kemendikbud.

Mahasiswa bersama Dinas Koperasi dan perangkat desa telah menyiapkan skenario keberlanjutan program melalui perluasan sasaran KUT, mendirikan koperasi untuk menguatkan modal usaha, dan mengembangkan penjualan produk secara digital.

Antusiasme warga dalam menyambut Tim Monev dengan membuat pagar orang disepanjang jalan desa, dimeriahkan 2 group marchine band dari pondok pesantren dan sekolah sekitar, menjadi bukti respon dan dukungan warga terhadap program PHP2D.
