Prof Tjetjep Rohendi Rohidi di Mata Sahabat

Kegembiraan jelas nampak di wajah Tjetjep Rohendi Rohidi (TRR). Di usianya yang ke-65 kisah hidupnya yang terangkum dalam buku 65th TRR Mengembara Dalam Belantara Budaya. Di Gedung Bundar Fakultas Bahasa dan Seni Universitas Negeri Semarang, Selasa (10/12) sejumlah undangan hadir untuk sekaligus merayakan ulang tahun Sang Profesor.

Guru Besar Ilmu Antropologi Universitas Negeri Semarang itu memang disayang banyak orang. Dalam buku setebal 314 halaman itu, sisi lain TRR dapat disergap lewat catatan keluarga, tulisan guru-guru dan murid tentang TRR, juga lukisan persembahan buat TRR.

Lenny Nurlaeni, M.Pd (Alm.), misalnya, dalam surat yang ditulis sebelum ia wafat, ia mengatakan: sebagai seorang suami, dia bertanggungjawab dan selalu memenuhi keperluan keluarga. Juga dalam tulisan testimonial, Prof. Abu Su’ud (Guru Besar Sejarah Unnes) juga mengatakan TRR adalah akademisi dan kritikus seni mumpuni yang punya prinsip dan pandangan di luar pakem. Relasi TRR dengan seniman, juga membuat sastrawan Triyanto Triwikromo menjadi “Pemuja Buta Pikiran-Pikiran Kebudayaan Prof. Tjetjep”. Katanya, “Semula saya menganggap kesenian adalah barang mewah yang hanya dikonsumsi oleh orang kaya. Rupa-rupanya orang miskin pun memiliki cita rasa seni. Itu pula yang mengajari saya untuk mencintai aneka kesenian miskin. Saya menganggap Pak Tjetjep sebagai empu atau dewa kesenian orang miskin.”

Kiprah TRR dalam jalan budaya sangat jelas dalam bentuk pemikiran dan tindakan nyata. Tulisannya menyebar dalam bentuk buku, artikel dalam jurnal, makalah seminar, dan laporan penelitian yang jadi rujukan akademisi dan masyarakat humaniora. Pemikirannya yang paling diperbincangkan banyak orang adalah Ekspresi Seni Orang Miskin: Adaptasi Simbolik terhadap Kemiskinan. Ia juga tetap aktif berkarya seni lewat diskusi pada pameran seni rupa bersama rekan sejawat bahkan kalangan muda di Semarang. Forum Bukit Stonen dan Komunitas Embun Pagi adalah dua klub diskusi yang melahirkan santri-santri TRR.

Lewat buku 65th TRR Mengembara Dalam Belantara Budaya itu diluncurkan, makna Prof. Tjetjep bagi sekelilingnya dapat diteropong. Selamat Ulang Tahun, TRR…
