Prof Rasdi Pensiun, Everything is Okay

Per 21 Juni 2016, profesor Fakultas Ilmu Pendidikan (FIP) Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES) yang pernah memimpin Unnes pada 1994-2002, Prof Dr Rasdi Eko Siswoyo MSc, menutup karier sebagai pegawai negeri sipil.

“Saya mencintai UNNES, mutu ora ana enteke, jadikan UNNES lebih baik, lebih baik, lebih baik. Everything is okay” kata Prof Rasdi di Ruang Senat Kampus Sekaran, Senin (18/7).

Pada acara yang dihadiri semua anggota senat Unnes, profesor bidang pendidikan yang lahir di Pati 21 Juni 1946 itu menyampaikan beberapa harapan.

Di antaranya bila masih memungkinkan, setelah purnatugas tetap diberi kesempatan berkomunikasi dengan UNNES. Rektor Unnes Prof Dr Fathur Rokhman MHum merespons harapan itu dengan menjadikan Prof Rasdi sebagai Dewan Pertimbangan Unnes.

“Berdasarkan keputusan rapat senat, Prof Rasdi ditetapkan sebagai anggota Dewan Pertimbangan Unnes,” kata Prof Fathur.

Menurut Rektor, Prof Rasdi telah memberikan banyak teladan kepada para mahasiswa, dosen, dan karyawan Unnes. Salah satunya, keramahan dan kerendahan hatinya.

Setelah memberi sambutan, Rektor didampingi Wakil Rektor dan Ketua Senat memberikan tanda mata, di antaranya cincin emas.

Sepanjang usianya, pria yang pernah mengenyam studi Master di Syracuse University New York selama sebelas bulan itu nyaris tidak pernah terpisahkan dari dunia pendidikan. Tahun 1987, ia dicalonkan menjadi ketua jurusan. Karirnya terus menanjak dan dipercaya memimpin fakultas sebagai dekan Fakultas Pendidikan pada 1989.

Karirnya di birokrasi kampus mencapai puncaknya saat ia terpilih sebagai rektor UNNES menggantikan Prof Dr Retmono yang purna tugas pada 1994.

Tidak hanya itu, Prof Rasdi juga berkativitas sebagai Ketua Dewan Pendidikan Kota Semarang sekaligus menjadi Ketua Umum Gabungan Bridge Seluruh Indonesia (Gabsi) Jawa Tengah.

    Bapak Profesor, Haji Rasdi Ekosiswoyo memang luarr biasa. Beliau adalah Bapak kami, Dosen kami, Pembimbing kami. Begitu banyak jasa beliau yang kami rasakan di lembaga ini. Mulai dari kebijakan bahwa pegawai IKIP harus sekolah dan diizinkan bekerja sambil kuliah di lembaga ini. Kebijakan ini tidak akan hilang dari ingatan kami. Di samping itu, hal lain yang lekat di benak kami, beliau sangat “care” dengan kalangan “wong cilik”. Terlebih lagi, beliau tercatat dalam sejarah perkembangan lembaga, ketika IKIP berubah menjadi Universitas, beliau saat itu Rektornya. Dan masih banyak lagi prestasi-prestasi lainnya. Semoga beliau tetap diberi kesehatan, dan kebahagiaan bersama keluarganya dan cucu-cucunya.

    Keras, tapi tidak membenci itulah kepemimpinan mantan Rektor Prof Rasdi. Tetap semangat ya bapak, semoga selalu sehat. Kepedulian dan kecintaan terhadap pembinaan olahraga belum ada duanya. Yang tidak pernah saya lupakan “kejuaraan nasional tenis mahasiswa” selalu menjadi agenda tahunan di IKIP Semarang. Kapan ada lagi?
