Prof Jocelyn: Guru Bukan Pengajar, Melainkan Pembelajar

Bagaimana menjadi seorang guru Pendidikan Anak Usia Dini (PAUD) yang profesional?

Demikian pertanyaan Ani, seorang guru PAUD ketika mengikuti seminar internasional PG PAUD bertajuk Early Childhood Education For A Better Nation Sabtu, (26/5) kemarin.

“Profesionalisme seorang guru ditunjukkan dengan belajar dan menuntut ilmu dan tidak pernah berpikir bahwa  sebagai seorang guru adalah gudang ilmu,” kata Jocelyn Nuttall Profesor Pendidikan Anak Usia Dini  dari Universitas Katolik Australia. Dia mengatakan, guru  seharusnya memunculkan budaya belajar sehingga mampu memberikan jawaban tepat atas pertanyaan  siswa yang memiliki kecenderungan rasa ingin tahu yang tinggi.

Seminar yang diselenggarakan di Hotel Graha Santika Semarang itu dihadiri oleh ratusan peserta yang berasal dari berbagai daerah di Indonesia  dengan berbagai profesi mulai dari mahasiswa, guru, dosen hingga praktisi PG PAUD.

Ketua panitia Ali Formen mengatakan, bahwa kegiatan ini menjadi wadah para praktisi, akademisi, dan guru PAUD internasonal untuk saling belajar. “Seminar ini adalah tempat yang tepat bagi praktisi, guru, dan akademi PAUD untuk belajar dan berbagi informasi tentang PAUD,” kata Staf Ahli Pembantu Rektor Bidang Akademik Unnes ini.

Pembicara lain dalam seminar internasional yang dilaksanakan oleh program studi pendidikan guru pendidikan anak usia dini FIP Unnes tersebut  adalah Yu Wei lin profesor PG PAUD National Taiwan Normal University dan DR Nugaan Yulia Wardhani S,M.Psi dari Direktur PG PAUD pendidikan formal dan non-formal Kemdikbud.

    lho, apakah di kemdikbud ada direktorat PG PAUD pendidikan formal dan nonformal? bukankah Dr. NUgaan Yulia Wardani itu Direktur Pembinaan Pendidik dan Tenaga Kependidikan pada Direktorat Jenderal Pendidikan Anak Usia Dini, Nonformal, dan Informal?
