Prof Ida dan Dr Tommi lakukan Visiting Professor dan Guest Lecture Ke UPM Malaysia.

Program studi S-2 Pendidikan Bahasa Indonesia Pascasarjana UNNES merealisasikan kerja sama Internasional dengan Malay Language Departement University Putra Malaysia (UPM) di Gedung Seri Amar Fakulti Bahasa Moden dan Komunikasi UPM, Kamis 24/10.

Dr Tommi Yuniawan MHum selaku Koord. Prodi S2 Pendidikan Bahasa Indonesia Pascasarjana UNNES menyatakan, kredo “UNNES Mendunia Untuk Indonesia” perlu digaungkan dan dikokohkan oleh sivitas akadamika Universitas Negeri Semarang. Kredo ini telah menjadi kebijakan Rektor UNNES, Prof Dr Fathur Rokhman MHum bahwa UNNES harus mampu bersaing dan bersanding dengan perguruan tinggi di tingkat internasional untuk memantapkan visi UNNES bereputasi internasional. Tentunya, hal ini selaras juga dengan kebijakan Direktur Pascasarjana UNNES Prof Dr H Achmad Slamet Msi

“Untuk menghadapi persaingan global yang makin kompleks, institusi pendidikan dituntut untuk mampu berperan aktif, inovatif, dan inspiratif sehingga dapat menghasilkan lulusan yang berdaya saing unggul. Upaya yang dapat dilakukan oleh institusi pendidikan terutama perguruan tinggi adalah dengan menjalin kerja sama internasional dengan perguruan tingi lain dari berbagai negara. Semoga UNNES mendunia untuk Indonesia,” kata Dr Tommy Yuniawan.

Saat bertandang ke UPM, Prof Dr Ida Zulaeha MHum melakukan visiting professor tentang “Mapping of the Phonological and Lexical Variations of the Javanese Language of the Brebes Dialect in the Java-Sunda Border Region”. Kemudian, guest lecture oleh Dr Tommi MHum yang memaparkan ihwal “A Critical Eco-Linguistic Study on Green Discourse: A Prospective Linguistic Analysis” dihadapan para dosen dan para mahasiswa pascasarjana FBMK UPM. Mereka sangat antusias dan tertarik atas topik yang disajikan tersebut. Kegiatan ini mendapat apresiasi dari mereka, saat diskusi berlangsung. Selain itu, dipresentasikan juga makalah mahasiswa Prodi S2 PBI PPS UNNES, Ghulamin Khalim S dan Rahmatia Ardila.

Selanjutnya, sebagai penguatan kelembagaan kedua belah pihak ditandatangani naskah Partnership Letter of Intent. Kemudian, acara dilanjutkan dengan diskusi sister curriculum antarprogram studi sebagai inisiasi kurikulum internasional. Kegiatan ini dapat menjadi pintu masuk untuk pengembangan kelembagaan dan kualitas akademik prodi. Dalam membangun kerja sama internasional dengan perguruan tinggi di luar negeri, ada tiga hal yang menjadi concern universitas, yakni: mobility (inbound dan outbound), international publication, joint research. Mobility perlu dikembangkan menjadi Mobility of People (student mobility and staff mobility), Mobility of Programmes (Licensing/ franchising and Articulations) dan Mobility of Institutions (branch campuses). Elemen-elemen tersebut menjadi hal penting bagi perguruan tinggi dalam meningkatkan kualitas akademik dan mendorong reputasi internasional.

Dekan FBMK UPM, Prof Madya Dr Mohd Azidan Bin Abdul Jabar memberikan apresisasi positif atas terselenggaranya acara tersebut, terutama dalam rangka meningkatkan intensitas kerja sama internasional diantara keduanya. Visi UPM adalah menjadi universitas bereputasi internasional. Visi ini sama dengan visi UNNES.

 

Delegasi UNNES (Prof Dr Ida Zulaiha MHum, Dr Tommi Yuniawan Mhum, Lulu A Farida MPd serta para mahasiswa S2 PBI) disambut oleh Dekan FBMK UPM, Prof Madya Dr Mohd Azidan Bin Abdul Jabar disambut oleh Dekan FBMK UPM, Prof Madya Dr Mohd Azidan Bin Abdul Jabar beserta  Wakil Dekan Bidang Kemahasiswaan & Kerja Sama Internasional Prof Madya  Dr Siti Zobidah Omar, Ketua Departemen Bahasa Melayu Prof Madya Dr Zaitul Azma Zainon Hamzah,  Prof Madya Adi Yasran Abdul Aziz, Prof Madya Dr Che Ibrahim, para dosen, serta para mahasiswa FBMK UPM.
