Prodi IPS S2 Unnes Jalin Kerjasama Penelitian Dengan UKM Malaysia

Dalam rangka penguatan kerjasama penelitian di bidang ilmu sosial para mahasiswa S2 Pendidikan IPS Kelas Khusus beserta dosen Prodi Pendidikan IPS Unnes berjumlah 16 orang berkunjung ke Institut Kajian Etnik (KITA) pada Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM), Kamis, 5/11. Institut ini setingkat dengan Program Pasca Sarjana jika di Indonesia. Pada kunjungan ini, disambut langsung oleh Prof Ulung Datuk dan Dr Shamsul Amri Baharuddin sebagai Pengarah, Prof Madya De Kartini Aboo Talib sebagai Timbalan Pengarah, serta Prof Dr Mansor Mhd Noor sebagai Felo Utama.

Rombongan Unnes yang dipimpin oleh Prof. Dr Wasino MHum dan Prof Dr Dewi Liesnoor MSi. disambut di Lantai 4 Gedung Kolej Keris Mas, UKM Selangor. Pada kunjungan kali pertama ini, dihasilkan tiga kesepakatan yang dituangkan dalam Letter of Interest (LoI). Pertama, Fellowship antar Professor maupun mahasiswa S2 dan S3, hingga penjajakan kerjasama seminar bersama. Tawaran Fellowship yang ditawarkan oleh Prof Dr Wasino MHum diamini Prof Ulung Datuk dan Dr Shamsul Amri Baharuddin yang menyambut dengan antusias karena bidang kajian yang dikaji sama. “Institut di UKM ini memang fokus pada kajian etnik yang dikaji melalui berbagai macam multidisiplin pada bidang ilmu sosial, kami menyambut baik jika ada kesepakatan lebih lanjut dengan Unnes,” ungkap Prof Ulung Datuk.

Kesepakatan kedua adalah kerjasama penelitian para mahasiswa S2 maupun S3 baik dari kajian yang diteliti bersama hingga tukar menukar bahan penelitian. Ketiga, kesepakatan ke depan adalah pertukaran mahasiswa S2/S3 baik dari Prodi Pendidikan IPS Unnes maupun mahasiswa S2/S3 dari Institut “Tentu hal ini menjadi angin segar bagi kami sebagai mahasiswa,”. Ujar mahasiswa S2 IPS Yusuf Falaq.

Pada akhir pertemuan, Prof Dr Dewi Liesnoor MSi menyampaikan terima kasih dan apresiasi yang sebesar-besarnya atas sambutan, kerjasama dan jamuan yang diberikan. “Kami mewakili Universitas Negeri Semarang, khususnya Program Pascasarjana Pendidikan IPS mengucapkan terima kasih atas sambutan dan persabatan ini.” Tutupnya.
