Prestasi Olahraga Tak Lepas dari Pakar Pendidikan

Jumlah guru besar bidang olahraga di Indonesia  masih sedikit dibandingkan dengan Cina. Di Indonesia, jumlahnya tidak lebih dari 30 orang, sedangkan di Cina mencapai 300 orang.

Demikian diungkapkan Prof Djoko Pekik Irianto, Deputi Bidang Peningkatan Prestasi Olahraga Kementerian Pemuda dan Olahraga pada Seminar Internasional Sport Science 2012 yang diselenggarakan oleh Fakultas Ilmu Keolahragaan (FIK) Universitas Negeri Semarang (Unnes), di Hotel Grand Candi, akhir pekan lalu.

Kegiatan dibuka oleh Pembantu Rektor Bidang Kemahasiswaan Prof Masrukhi dan dihadiri ratusan peserta dari kalangan dosen, mahasiswa, dan praktisi bidang olahraga.

Hadir pembicara lain Prof Dr Supranee Kwanboonchan dari Universitas Srinakharinwirot Thailand, Prof Chia-Hua Kuo (Universitas Taipei),  dan Chang Kim keun dari Korea.

“Melihat kondisi semacam itu, wajar jika prestasi yang diraih Cina dalam bidang olahraga lebih unngul dibandingkan dengan prestasi Indonesia,” kata Prof  Djoko Pekik Irianto.

Prof  Djoko Pekik mengimbau kalangan akademisi supaya mengembangkan kerja sama dengan luar negeri untuk mengirimkan dosen-dosen olahraga studi lanjut bisa ke Cina, Jepang, atau beberapa negara lain.

Prof Supriadi Rustad dari Direktorat Jenderal Pendidikan Tinggi mengatakan, publikasi karya ilmiah Indonesia dibandingkan dengan negara berkembang lain jauh tertinggal.

“Publikasi karya ilmiah Indonesia dari 1996 sampai dengan 2010 jika dilihat dari grafik itu tampak merayap. Lain halnya di negara berkembang lain, grafiknya tampak menanjak naik, padahal start-nya bersamaan,” kata Prof Supriadi.

Prof Supriadi mengajak para peserta seminar untuk mulai membudayakan menulis dan publikasi untuk menyejajarkan diri dengan negara berkembang lain.

“Ki Joko Bodo yang mengaku bodo saja tulisannya banyak. Di antara buku karyanya adalah Rapal Rahasia Jampi-Jampi Ki Joko Bodo (2009), Buku Paranormal (2012), Pelet Ki Joko Bodo, Ilmu Gendam Putih, dan masih banyak lagi buku tulisannya,” sindir Prof Supriadi.

Harry Pramono MSi, Dekan FIK Unnes yang juga Sekretaris Forum Dekan Fakultas Ilmu Keolahragaan (FIK) se-Indonesia mengatakan, salah satu kendala kurang majunya prestasi atlet adalah jumlah guru besar bidang olahraga di Indonesia masih sangat sedikit. “Pakar bidang olahraga turut memengaruhi majunya prestasi olahraga suatu negara karena perkembangan olahraga tidak bisa dipisahkan dari kemajuan ilmu pengetahuan dan teknologi,” katanya.
