Presiden BEM Mahmud: Saya Akan Lebih Baik

Apa yang dijanjikan oleh Presiden Badan Eksekutif Mahasiswa (BEM) Universias Negeri Semarang  (Unnes) Mahmud Kuncahyo? “Akan saya torehkan prestasi yang lebih baik dari kepemimpinan sebelumnya,” katanya sesaat seusai pelantikan.

Bersama 56 pemimpin baru lembaga kemahasiswaan lainnya, Mahmud dilantik oleh Rektor Prof Sudijono Sastroatmodjo, Jumat (26/1), di aula PGSD kampus Ngaliyan. Mahmud menggantikan presiden sebelumnya, Dony Kusuma, setelah mahasiswa Pendidikan IPA ini memenangi pemilu raya mahasiswa, beberapa waktu lalu.  Hadir dalam pelantikan itu para pejabat Unnes, pendamping lembaga kemahasiswaan, dan mahasiswa aktivis.

Untuk mewujudkan tekad tersebut, Mahmud meminta dukungan banyak pihak. “Saya sangat mengharapkan dukungan semua pihak,” katanya seraya mengutip kata-kata Rabindranat Tagore: pengabdkan itu menyenangkan.

Pada bagian lain, Rektor memuji kepemimpinan Dony yang baru saja berakhir sebagai hal yang  bagus. “Maka, jika Saudara Dony mampu sampai pada langkah ketujuh, Saudara Mahmud harus bisa minimal kedelapan untuk bisa disebut lebih baik dari sebelumnya.”

Kepada para mahasiswa pemimpin, Rektor mengharapkan agar senantiasa menunjukkan warna Indonesia, bukan warna yang lain. “Siapakah aku?” tanya Rektor. Serempak mahasiswa menjawab, “Indonesia!”

    LK di Unnes mati suri, tidak merakyat dengan mahasiswa, elitis, tidak kritis dan peka terhadap setiap moment, miskin wacana dan gerakan, apalagi tindakan. Mungkinkah itu karena kemapanan..??
    Kita tunggu pembuktiannya kawan-kawan yang baru dilantik, bukan hanya ucapan janji, tapi BUKTI..!!

  2. Saya mantan Presma Undip. Sangat apresiatif thadap BEM Unnes yang telah menunjukkan kreatifitasnya yang bmanfaat. Desa binaan yang dirintis di kel sukorejo sangat bermanfaat langsung bagi masyarakat. Itu lebih bagus daripada turun kejalan, demo dsb. Karena nyatanya sekarang mereka yang suka turun ke jalan sudah terkooptasi oleh gerakan politik praktis. Waspadalah mahasiswa, berbuatlah yang bermanfaat. Sekali lagi selamat utk Sdr.
