PMI Kota Semarang dan SD Labschool UNNES adakan Kampanye Sekolah Siaga Bencana

PMI Kota Semarang dan SD Labschool UNNES mengadakan Kampanye Sekolah Siaga Bencana, dengan tema “Tangguh Menghadapi Perubahan Iklim” di aula Labschool pada Senin (12/3).

Sebanyak 50 murid SD Labschool Unnes mengikuti kegiatan sosialisasi ini dengan semangat.

Menurut Sekretaris PMI Kota Semarang, Surahman, kegiatan sosialisasi ini bertujuan supaya jika terjadi bencana, anak-anak menanggapi dengan tenang, tidak boleh grogi dan gugup. Inti adanya sosialisasi perubahan iklim ini adalah bencana sosial, bencana alam dan bencana karena ulah manusia itu sendiri. Hal ini kita kenalkan dan beri informasi kepada anak-anak supaya bisa menjadi pedoman untuk menjaga lingkungan.

“Dengan adanya perubahan iklim kita harus menjaga kebersihan lingkungan dan menjaga pola makan. Seperti halnya ketika anak-anak jajan, tidak jajan sembarangan.” tuturnya.

Dari kegiatan ini dia berharap bahwa murid-murid dan guru-guru tanggap tentang perubahan iklim yang ada di Indonesia. “Sebagaimana kita ketahui bahwa Indonesia ini rawan terhadap perubahan iklim. Indonesia rawan terjadi bencana karena memang letak geografis.” imbuhnya.

Selain itu, Surahman juga berharap bahwa SD Labschool ini bisa menjadi percontohan terhadap lingkungan sekitar dan kesiap siagaan anak-anak manakala terjadi bencana. Karena anak-anak dilatih apa yang dilakukan sebelum terjadi bencana, saat terjadi bencana, dan setelah terjadi bencana.

“Minimal anak-anak jadi tahu dan bisa menyelamatkan diri. Selain itu warga sekolah bisa berlaku bersih dan sehat terhadap lingkungan.” ujarnya.

Jatmiko, salah satu anggota dari PMI Kota Semarang, menyampaikan berbagai materi antara lain tentang  sejarah PMI, makna simbol PMI, tugas anggota PMI dan siapa saja anggota PMI itu.

Dalam kesempatan lain, Danang, yang juga ikut menyampaikan materi,  menjelaskan tentang kesiapsiagaan menanggapi bencana alam dan melakukan simulasi gempa. Anak-anak diajak untuk berdiskusi tentang apa yang dilakukan sebelum terjadi bencana, saat terjadi bencana, setelah terjadi bencana dan isi tas siaga. Murid-murid SD Labschool Unnes juga diajak untuk menempelkan berbagai petunjuk seperti jalur evakuasi dan titik kumpul.

Rahma, siswi kelas 4, mengaku bahwa dirinya jadi tau bagaimana cara menyikapi jika ada bencana gempa bumi.

“Aku jadi tahu kalo ada bencana, kita harus siap sama gak usah panik.” katanya.
