Plagiasi Mudah untuk Diketahui

Sekarang ini plagiasi sangat mudah dan marak dilakukan. Akan tetapi mudah juga untuk terlacak dan diketahui. Maka sebagai akademisi hendaknya kita menghindari plagiasi karena merupakan tindakan kriminal yang merugikan diri sendiri dan orang lain. Demikan disampaikan guru besar Universitas Negeri Malang Prof H Ali Saukah MA PhD dalam seminar Nasional “Strategi Publikasi Karya Ilmiah Hasil Penelitian” di Auditorium Unnes Sekaran, Sabtu (26/2).

“Sekarang semua karya ilmiah dimasukkan dalam database nasional. Dengan aplikasi tertentu, akan dengan mudah melacak kalau ada data atau salinan kalimat yang sama dalam sebuah karya ilmiah,” terangnya kepada wartawan seusai menjadi pembicara dalam seminar yang diadakan program pascasarjana Unnes itu.

Berdasarkan Peraturan Menteri Pendidikan Nasional Nomor 17 Tahun 2010 tentang Pencegahan dan Penanggulangan Plagiat di Perguruan Tinggi. Pada pasal 1 butir pertama menyebutkan, plagiat adalah perbuatan sengaja atau tidak sengaja dalam memperoleh atau mencoba memperoleh kredit atau nilai untuk suatu karya ilmiah, dengan mengutip sebagian atau seluruh karya dan/atau karya ilmiah pihak lain yang diakui sebagai karya ilmiahnya, tanpa menyatakan sumber secara tepat dan memadai.

Publikasi

Direktur Pascasarjana Unnes Prof Dr Maman Rachman MSc juga menambahkan Ilmu pengetahuan dan penelitian merupakan dua sisi yang tidak bisa dipisahkan seperti dua sisi dari sebuah mata uang. Sangat disayangkan jika karya ilmiah hanya untuk ditumpuk dan disimpan dalam almari. Untuk strategi publikasi sebaiknya abstrak dibuat dalam dua bahasa. Selain itu utamakan kualitas bukan jumlah halaman, serta mengutamakan referensi dari jurnal ilmiah. “Dengan seminar ini diharapkan bisa memotivasi serta memberikan bekal bagi mahasiswa untuk membuat karya ilmiah unggulan dengan tanpa plagiasi tentunya,” katanya.

Dalam seminar yang dihadiri ratusan mahasiswa pascasarjana Unnes itu tampil pula 18 makalah pendamping yang terdiri dari 3 diseertasi dan 15 tesis. Para pemakalah itu merupakan alumni S2 dan S3 Unnes.
