Peserta Joint Summer Course 2017 dari Denmark di UNNES Berakhir, Mereka Ingin Kembali Studi Lanjut

Sebenarnya saya ingin tinggal lebih lama di Indonesia, sebab masih banyak budaya dan keanekaragaman yang ada di Indonesia belum saya pelajari lebih luas. Untuk mewujudkan keinginan itu saya akan kembali ke Indonesia lagi khususnya di Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES) di lain waktu untuk mengikuti program pertukaran pelajar lain agar saya bisa merasakan kembali kebudayaan Indonesia.

Mia Hausgaard Yde salah satu peserta Joint Summer Course 2017, Program Hibah Penguatan Kelembagaan Kantor Urusan Internasional UNNES 2017 menyampaikan itu saat pelepasan setelah berakhirnya program yang dijalaninya, Kamis (12/10) di rektorat UNNES kampus Sekaran Gunungpati.

Hal yang sama juga diucapkan Mads Mathias Kjeldsen bahwa ketika datang pertama kali di Indonesia, Mads sangat kaget terutama tentang makanan kebanyakan terlalu manis rasanya dan kemacetan. Namun seiring dengan berjalannya waktu, dia malah sangat menyukai makanan Indonesia, terlebih Rendang dan Gongso.

Selain itu, mereka juga menyaksikan sendiri bagaimana Islam di Indonesia berkembang dan hidup berdampingan dengan agama lain secara harmonis. Karena menurut mereka Islam sangat identik dengan teroris, tetapi apa yang mereka lihat dan rasakan sendiri di Indonesia adalah sebaliknya.

Mereka bertiga Mia Hausgaard Yde, Mads Mathias Kjeldsen, dan Patrick Berndt Pedersen berasal dari VIA College Denmark sudah selesai melakukan program Joint Summer Course 2017 selama 2 bulan di mulai dari 25 Agustus – 13 Oktober 2017.

Selama di UNNES mereka belajar banyak hal diantaranya Bisnis, Speaking for General Purposes, Batik, Pencak Silat, Ilmu Pendidikan, Matematika, Geguritan, dan Bavos (olah raga campuran Basket, Voli, dan sepak bola).

Selain itu, juga mengikuti kegiatan di luar seperti FIK Goes to Public, Community Service di Lab School UNNES, dan mengunjungi salah satu pesantren di Pemalang.

Wakil Rektor Bidang Akademik Prof Rustono saat melepas menyampaikan, alhamdulillah peserta program Joint Summer Course dengan Denmark telah berakhir. Peserta dari Denmark masih betah di UNNES dan ingin studi lebih lanjut.

Prof Rustono berpesan, setelah pulang sampai di Denmark informasikan pengalaman baik yang telah kalian peroleh tentang Indonesia, dan promosikan khususnya UNNES ditingkat internasional.
