UNNES Jadi Tuan Rumah Silaturahmi Pesantren-Perguruan Tinggi, Sepakat Moderasi Pendidikan Agama

Sejumlah pengelola pesantren dan pimpinan perguruan tinggi yang tergabung dalam Forum Silaturahmi Pesantren dan Perguruan Tinggi menyelenggarakan diskusi terumpun, Minggu (21/2), di kampus Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES).

Kedua pihak sepakat menjalin kerja sama agar dapat bahu-membahu memoderasi pendidikan agama.

Langkah itu dinilai perlu ditempuh karena pesantren dan perguruan tinggi memiliki keunggulan masing-masing dan saling melengkapi.

Pengasuh Pondok Pesantren Girikusuma Mranggen KH Munif Zuhri menjelaskan, kerja sama pesantren dan kampus dilatari keinginan mewujudkan kehidupan bersama yang baik.

Cita-cita tersebut salah satunya diwujudkan dengan memberi melahirkan generasi muda yang memiliki pemahaman agama yang benar.

“Karena ajaran agama yang benar dapat membimbing pada kehidupan yang baik,” katanya.

Rektor UNNES Prof Dr Fathur Rokhman MHum mengungkapkan, kerja sama pesantren dan perguruan tinggi adalah hal produktif.

Menurutnya, baik pesantren maupun perguruan tinggi memiliki keunikan masing-masing sehingga dapat saling menguatkan.

“Pesantren memiliki tradisi keilmuan sangat baik dalam bidang agama sehingga memiliki otoritas kelimuan yang kuat mengajarkan agama yang benar. Adapun perguruan tinggi memiliki tradisi keilmuan yang modern,” katanya.

Dengan keunggulan masing-masing tersebut, kata Prof Fathur, pesantren dan kampus bekerja sama mendidik anak-anak muda agar memiliki karakter baik sekaligus prestasi unggul.

Kerja sama pesantren dan perguruan tinggi tersebut mendapat dukungan pemerintah.

Wakil Gubernur Jawa Tengah KH Taj Yasin Maimoen berharap kolaborasi kedua lembaga pendidikan tersebut dapat melahirkan generasi yang hebat.

Ia mengapresiasi sejumlah kebijakan yang ditempuh kampus dan pesantren dalam bentuk pemberian beasiswa kepada santri.

Ke depan, kerja sama tersebut bisa ditingkatkan dengan berbagi ilmu pengetahuan. “Kalau memungkinkan, kiai mengajar di kampus,” katanya.

Dalam diskusi tersebut ada puluhan wakil pesantren dan perguruan tinggi yang hadir.

Dari kalangan pesantren, sejumlah tokoh hadir antara lain Gus Zaim Maksum (Rembang), KH Kharis Shodaqoh (Semarang), Habib Umar Muthohar (Semarang), KH Mu’adz (Pati), KH Ahmad Hudaya (Solo), Kh Abdul Karim (Solo), dan sejumlah kyai lain.

Adapun dari kalangan perguruan tinggi, sejumlah rektor dan profesor hadir adalah Prof Yos Johan Utama (Undip), Prof Dr Imam Taufiq dan Prof Ahmad Rofiq (UIN Walisongo), Prof Mahmutarom (Unwahas), Dr Bedjo Santoso (Unissula), Dr Muhammad Adnan, dan sejumlah tokoh lain dari berbagai perguruan tinggi.

Pertemuan ini merupakan agenda lanjutan dari silaturahmi 1 dan 2 yang telah dilaksanakan sebelumnya.
