Rektor Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES) Prof Dr Fathur Rokhman MHum menerjunkan 3559 mahasiswa secara virtual untuk melaksanakan program Praktik Pengalaman Lapangan (PPL) secara Daring tahun 2020 di sekolah maupun intansi mitra untuk pertama kalinya, Senin (5/10).

Prof Fathur Rokhman dalam sambutannya menyampaikan, pelaksanaan PPL tahun ini berbeda dengan tahun sebelumnya karena situasi pandemic Covid-19, maka dari itu kesehatan, bahagia, dan produktif merupakan hal yang penting.

“Kita harus melawan Covid-19 dengan cara kita sehat, kita selalu bahagia, dan tetap produktif, maka dari itu situasi pandemic ini menuntut kita untuk melaksanakan PPL secara Daring,” tutur Prof Fathur.

Beliau juga menyampaikan UNNES sebagai Lembaga Pendidik Tenaga Kependidikan harus memberikan peran bagi pembangunan Sumber Daya Manusia (SDM) Unggul, salah satunya dengan menyiapkan guru-guru yang unggul dan mampu bersaing di tingkat Nasional maupun Internasional untuk Indonesia Maju.

“Program PPL UNNES ini merupakan revitalisasi LPTK menuju Indonesia Maju dengan menciptakan generasi yang unggul yang dihasilkan melalui pendidikan dengan guru yang unggul. Guru yang unggul dihasilkan oleh LPTK Unggul seperti UNNES,” kata Prof Fathur.

Selain itu, Prof Fathur memberikan pesan mahasiswa PPL tahun ini menghadapai tantangan Industrial Revolution 4.0, Civil Society 5,0, Global Competitievenes, The Economic Growth of a Nation, dan Milinneal Character Building. Karena itu mahasiswa harus memiliki literasi-literasi baru dan keilmuan untuk menghadapai tantangan tersebut.

Ketua Lembaga Pengembang Pendidikan dan Profesi (LP3) UNNES Dr Ngabiyanto MSi menyampaikan PPL Daring ini menuntut mahasiswa menguasai teknologi pembelajaran, memproduksi media-media inovatif dalam penerapan pembelajaran jarak jauh.

“PPL Daring ini merupakan implementasi dari IPTEK, maka dari itu mahasiswa merancang pembelajaran dengan memadukan pengetahuanm materi ajar, kompetensi pedagogik, dan teknologi,” kata Dr Ngabiyanto.

Kepala Pusat Pengembangan PPL Dr Soedjatmiko MPd melaporkan, mereka akan mengajar selama 50 hari, mulai Senin (5/10) sampai Senin (23/11) di 10 kabupaten/kota Jawa Tengah meliputi Kota Semarang, Kabupaten Semarang, Kota Salatiga, Kota Magelang, Kota Tegal, Kabupaten Tegal, Kabupaten Temanggung, Kabupaten Demak, Kabupaten Jepara, dan Kabupaten Kudus.

Selain itu, sebanyak 657 dosen dilibatkan untuk menjadi dosen pembimbing, dan 220 dosen menjadi kordinator dosen pembimbing.
