Biografi

Prof. Ratna Dewi Kusumaningtyas tertarik pada penelitian terkait rekayasa dan optimasi sistem proses, khususnya yang diterapkan dalam pengembangan energi terbarukan dan pengolahan sumber daya hayati menjadi produk berharga. Ia telah banyak bekerja dalam sintesis, aplikasi, optimalisasi energi terbarukan seperti biodiesel dan biopelet. Melalui penelitian, ia menciptakan inovasi untuk intensifikasi proses dalam produksi biodiesel seperti pengembangan proses distilasi reaktif, produksi biodiesel berbantuan ultrasound, reaksi enzimatik, sintesis biodiesel bebas gliserol, dll. Ia juga mengembangkan pelet biomassa-batubara sebagai bahan bakar padat untuk keperluan domestik dan industri. Selain itu, di bidang rekayasa sumber daya hayati, secara intensif menyelidiki enkapsulasi senyawa bioaktif berbasis alam dan peningkatan pupuk organo-mineral.
