Biography

Kegiatan penelitian dan pengabdian kepada masyarakat mulai dirintis oleh Prof. Dr. Isti Hidayah, M.Pd. sejak tahun 1992. Pengalaman pertama bermitra dengan industri kecil pengrajin kayu untuk memanfaatkan limbahnya menjadi alat peraga matematika diperoleh melalui program pengabdian masyarakat DRPM, dikti pada tahun 1996. Pada tahun yang sama penelitian kompetitif DRPM mengkaji pengembangan APM (Alat Peraga Manipulatif) dan pembelajarannya hingga tahun 2009. Pengalaman tugas tambahan yang menguatkan bidang penelitian dan pengabdian di samping tugas utama mengajar adalah menjadi Ketua Laboratorium Matematika (1999-2003), menjadi tim pengembang desain APM Direktorat TK-SD tahun 2004, tahun 2005 mendapat kepercayaan sebagai ketua tim riset ujicoba pembelajaran dengan APM di 5 propinsi kerjasama UNNES-Direktorat TK-SD. Menjadi instruktur nasional Mathematics Education Quality Improvement Programme (MEQIP) tahun 2006. Masih konsisten pada pengembangan APM dan pembelajarannya, tahun 2015-2017 melaksanakan Riset Andalan Perguruan Tinggi dan Industri (RAPID)-DRPM dan tahun 2018-2020 Penelitian Unggulan Strategis Nasional (PUSN) dengan inovasi APM individual mendukung pengembangan HOTS anak dalam pembelajaran matematika. Pengembangan virtualisasi manipilative melalui pendanaan Kedaireka tahun 2022. Mendalami penerapan manipulative konkrit-visual-virtual dalam pembelajaran untuk penguatan berpikir anak melalui pendanaan penelitian terapan-hilirisasi tahun 2021-2024. Narasumber Seminar & Workshop “Create Your Media” Himpunan Mahasiswa Pendidikan Matematika di Perguruan Tinggi lain. Sebagai fasilitator dalam kegiatan “Reguler Course on Teacher-Made Mathematics Teaching Aid for Primary School Teachers” SEAMEO Regional Centre for QITEP in Mathematics tahun 2022.
