Persiapan Pemilu 2024, KPU Provinsi Jateng Audiensi Ke UNNES Ajak Mahasiswa Sukseskan Pesta Demokrasi

Komisi Pemilihan Umum (KPU) Provinsi Jawa Tengah audiensi dengan Pimpinan Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES). Kunjungan KPU Jawa Tengah yang dipimpin M.Taufiqurrohman Plh Ketua KPU Jawa Tengah diterima Wakil Rektor Bidang Akademik Prof Dr Zaenuri SE MSi Akt.

Prof Dr Zaenuri SE MSi Akt menekankan UNNES selalu mendukung langkah-langkah KPU Provinsi Jawa Tengah dalam mensukseskan Pemilihan Umum Tahun 2024.

“UNNES siap bekerjasama dan terbuka untuk mendiskusikan hal hal apa saja yang dapat kita kolaborasikan Terkait sosialisasi, kita bisa melibatkan mahasiswa. SDM yang ada di UNNES siap mendukung dan berkolaborasi dengan KPU Jawa Tengah,” ujar Wakil Rektor Bidang Akademik.

M.Taufiqurrohman menyampaikan audiensi ini dilakukan oleh KPU Provinsi Jawa Tengah dengan seluruh instansi dan perguruan tinggi di Provinsi Jawa Tengah dengan tujuan mensukseskan pemilihan umum tahun 2024.

M.Taufiqurrohman juga menyatakan sebagai lembaga pengawal pesta demokrasi di Indonesia, KPU akan menghadapi beban kerja yang sangat berat menyongsong penyelenggaraan Pemilu serentak di tahun 2024. Pemilu tahun 2024 dinilainya sarat akan variasi dan dinamika yang luar biasa.

“Ini tentu akan menjadi perhatian kami di UNNES sebagai perguruan tinggi tentu sivitas akademika UNNES terutama mahasiswa menjadi bagian penting untuk mensukseskan pemilihan umum,” ujarnya Jumat (22/7).

Untuk itu, KPU Jawa Tengah mengajak mahasiswa UNNES ikut berpartisipasi dalam penyelenggaraan pemilu dan mendorong mahasiswa menggunakan hak pilihnya dalam pemilu 2024.

“Untuk meminimalisasi dinamika yang ada, mahasiswa harus terjun langsung dengan cara menjadi penyelenggara dengan itu mahasiswa memiliki pengalaman sehingga tidak ada berita hoax yang diterima mahasiswa,” jelasnya.

Selain itu, kunjungan dilakukan dalam rangka penjajakan untuk kerja sama kedua belah pihak. Kerja sama dirancang dalam bidang pendidikan, penelitian dan pengabdian masyarakat terkait penyelenggaraan Pemilu tahun 2024.

“KPU sangat bertanggung jawab akan tugas-tugas utamanya dan beberapa hal diantaranya relevan dengan apa yang ada di UNNES baik dari aspek pendidikan, penelitian dan pengabdian pada masyarakat. Dengan begitu, tidak hanya pada aspek politis, tetapi juga aspek sosial, ekonomi, sosiologi, psikologi hingga aspek kesehatan serta aspek teknis di dalam pelaksanaan yang melibatkan para peneliti di UNNES,” pungkasnya.
