Perpustakaan Unnes Susun Draf Standar Mutu

Sebagai upaya meningkatkan mutu layanan perpustakaan, Unit Pelaksana Teknis (UPT) Perpustaakaan Universitas Negeri Semarang (Unnes) menyelenggarakan rapat koordinasi (Rakor) Penyusunan Draf Standar Mutu Layanan UPT Perpustakaan Unnes, 23-25 November 2012 di Bandungan Kabupaten Semarang.

Puluhan staf di unit itu mengikuti Rakor dengan narasumber Dr Sutikno ST MT dan Dwi Darwanto dari UPT Perpustakaan Unnes.

Dalam rapat tersebut dibahas penyusunan draf standar mutu layanan dan prosedur mutu perpustakaan Unnes yang mengacu pada ISO (International Organization for Standardization/Organisasi Internasional untuk Standardisasi). Hal itu terkait dengan kinerja dan layanan perpustakaan, seperti ISO 11620:2008 tentang Indikator Kinerja Standar Nasional Indonesia Bidang Perpustakaan, Pusat Dokumentasi dan Informasi, dan ISO 9001:2008 tentang Sistem Manajemen Mutu Organisasi yang sebelumnya telah didapatkan Unnes.

Selain itu untuk membangkitkan semangat pustakawan Unnes dalam menulis segala hal tentang dunia perpustakaan, Senin (26/11) juga diselengarakan kegiatan Wokshop Penulisan Artikel Buletin Perpustakaan, di  lantai 3 gedung G Perpustakaan Unnes. Kegiatan ini diikuti oleh pustakawan UPT Perpustakaan Unnes dengan narasumber Drs Murgono SSos dan Dra Dedeh Mulyati.

Dalam sambutannya, Kepala UPT Perpustakaan Unnes Dr Sutikno ST MT menyampaikan bahwa mengemukakan pendapat merupakan hak bagi setiap warga negara yang dijamin oleh Undang-Undang Dasar. “Termasuk mengemukanan pendapat melalui tulisan,” katanya.

Sementara itu Drs Murgono sebagai narasumber memaparkan tentang peluang dan tantangan bagi Pustakawan Unnes dalam menyampaikan ide-ide melalui tulisan yang dapat dimuat di Buletin Perpustakaan. “Peluang dan tantangan tersebut antara lain adalah dengan menulis. Maka ide-ide seputar kepustakawanan maupun dunia perpustakaan dapat disampaikan kepada pemustaka dan khalayak umum,” katanya.

Murgono juga mengatakan, hal itu menjadi unsur yang dapat dinilai dalam pengajuan angka kredit bagi pustakawan ketika ia mengusulkan kenaikan jabatan pustakawannya.

    Smoga kegiatan tersebut dapat ditindak lanjuti dengan terbitnya Buletin Perpustakaan Unnes dan Panduan Standar Mutu Layanan Perpustakaan sebagai upaya meraih ISO.. Perjalanan memang masih terasa panjang dan berliku, namun demikian starting point (langkah awal) sudah dimulai.. 🙂

    Kalau perpustakaan masih tidak punya koleksi lengkap dan update, pengkategorian koleksi yang semrawut, tempat duduk yang tak nyaman, saya akan katakan; wow!
